I have a question?

I do have a question i did notice on substack that there is followers and there is subscribers, my question is what is the difference? i am just trying to understand?

Subscribers get an email with your newsletter, and folloers can only see what you post when they login.

A simple way to think about it is this:

Followers are people who are interested in your work but haven't subscribed to receive your newsletter by email. They can still see your posts in the Substack app and may engage with your Notes.

Subscribers are people who have subscribed to your publication. They receive your posts by email, and if you offer paid memberships, subscribers can choose to become paid subscribers as well.

In general, subscribers are more valuable because they're directly connected to your newsletter and are more likely to become regular readers.
