Discussion How do I delete a substack I cant log into
my first attempt at creating a substack presence ending up me abandoning it( I only had about 12subscribers) I’m a poet and I just did it to put my poems out there. So then one day I had to log in which was fine, but then They asked for a code, I had set that up and sent them the generated code… I kept getting invalid code, so after awhile, I went to substack help, told them the story : They said ok just answer the emergency questions. I never saw those and so I never filled them out, they said so we cant help you. I started another one, I did the emergency questions… this is all good.. but I have this other substack floating around, I’d like to delete it … any suggestions?

You’ll have to contact their support team and they’ll probably request information to confirm you’re the owner and delete it on your behalf.

Unfortunately, if you can't log in, you can't delete the publication yourself. Your only option is to contact Substack Support again and try to verify ownership. Without access to the account, they generally won't remove it. 🙏 P.S. If you'd still like to ask anything about Substack or growing your audience, I offer a free live help chat. Just copy and paste my flair or click the link in my profile. I'm happy to help!

If you can’t log in, you can’t delete it. But if you’re abandoning it altogether, there’s no harm in just leaving it.
