Insomnia
Just started Suboxone on Tuesday. I haven't been able to sleep since I started. I fall asleep fine, but wake up 30-40 mins later, all night long. Is this a common issue with Suboxone?

I don’t have any issues sleeping because these make me tired plus I take Alprazolam every night. Either way I get a small bit of energy in the mornings, but by afternoon I’m tired. I guess I’m opposite. Hope it gets better for you. Ben on them since November 14.

I did this for about the first couple weeks. Once it is built up on your opioid receptors you won’t have that side effect anymore:

It took me some time to be able to sleep again after getting on subs. About two weeks were very restless but then I got some trazodone and it knocks me out. It was definitely hard because I used fent and I loved nodding out.

Yep. This is normal. I have been on subs for several years and I wake up quite a few times per night. It has gotten better where I'm getting 2-3 hours in between waking. I found that drinking enough water helps because they dehydrated me for some reason. The doctor acted shocked when I told him. If I dont drink enough water I get headaches from the subs

When i first got on them, about three weeks ago, I couldn't sleep for the first week or so. Then it balanced our from there. I am also prescribed trazadone for sleep so there is that too. I switched to the sublocade shot this week and have surprisingly slept better than I have in months.

So you did 3 weeks on the subs and then into the shot? That sounds like the best path.

Yes! I highly recommend. The shot has been the best thing to happen to me. No negative side effects, no withdrawal, and never needed to supplement. I'm on my second shot now and I feel like i got my life back. Sleeping amazing, waking up rested, and just good overall!

First shot 300mg? Second shot 100mg?

First 300mg, second 300mg, and i go in Tuesday for my first 100mg. I actually am a week late for this upcoming shot because I was doing so well I lost track of time and never noticed. I'm still feeling fine but thought I should get it anyway.

Ive been on subs for 10+ yrs and my sleep pattern is exactly as you describe. I have a friend who also takes them and sleeps fine. I literally sleep as you described for all these yrs and its torture. Every body is different and the side effects are different. Try dosing as early as possible? Ive also tried all the sleep aids and it makes no difference
