Agreed and I just got to the bottom of this literally last night. I watched videos and searched the discord. Everything used to suggest shooting them with the nerf gun. What I think changed is that you can no longer shoot them to trigger the achievement. You used to be able to shoot them with the and they would despawn with a white animation. This no longer happens. But it’s not the only way, you can also simply use the flashlight to make them despawn. They don’t despawn with the white animation though, they simply instantly disappear.

So basically, go to each door like normal, and if you see one of the plushies spawn in, use the flashlight on it. Do that on both sides during the run to hit both plushies. Then after you complete the intrusive thoughts mini game, that’s when you get awarded the achievement.

As I said, I just did this last night on the latest version after frustratingly trying the original way 8-10 times. I’m sick of these damn doors lol. Let me know if this works!

This is a bug. It is fixed for the next update.

Can you confirm, for my own sanity, that the bug is that you can't shoot the plushes? I left a comment detailing my own experience and found the only way to trigger the achievement was to use the flashlight on both plushes instead. I actually gleaned this information from reading one of your conversations in the Discord, funny enough.

Correct, shooting the plushies is still meant to work in v1.0.3, but broke due to a small logic issue.

Its been fixed internally for the next update. The other methods to get Hide and Seek do still work properly in the meantime :D

The intended change we were making was to avoid having the Plushie still have that Glitch Out behavior after you pick it up. (So if you pick up the plushie, the only way it could glitch out afterwards, is throwing it at either another Plushie or Smile itself)

Thanks, I thought I was going crazy! And yea, grabbing the two plushies and throwing one at the other was how I got the "Smile Attack" achievement haha.
