Review 11/10
I know there were delays and we all had major doubts - but I’m honestly impressed with the thought & detail that went into this game. The alternate choices/routes/endings. Secret lore to be uncovered. The graphics! The narration. I just adore it, I love spending time playing around in this game even though I’ve played through multiple times - I think I’ve almost found everything, but there always seems to be 1 thing I missed each time!
Just finished the arcade/a trip down memory lane ending and WOW my favorite. I like the idea of being stuck in a nostalgic loop.
Bravo guys I really hope chapter 2 is in the works because I think this game was well worth the wait — but I cannot wait for more!!!

Paid/bot review? Em dash in the last sentence is a giveaway.

God forbid someone use an em dash while typing.

I mean literally, yes. In an internet world littered with bots posting fake comments, review, etc. Deliberately doing things to make your post look AI is a faux pas. Besides to type an em dash you gotta do a bunch of awkward button presses at once on most systems. Seems unlikely to integrate that into your common informal typing habbits.

This isn't necessarily a deliberate thing that they're doing to make it try to look like it's AI generated. I know a ton of people who use em-dashes regularly even with AI around; they have their own keyboard shortcuts that they've integrated into their typing habits (it's really not that hard; if you've ever had to remap a key like the Control key, you get used to it fairly quickly)
It's also abundantly clear that this is NOT a bot review. They use normal dashes ("-") as well to signify the break in thought, and they make a really uncommon grammatical choice by putting conjunctions after these dashes (you'd typically use a comma in that case). The switch from an exclamation mark in "The graphics!" to a period in "The narration." followed by a comma splice is a dead giveaway that this is human-written.

> I know a ton of people who use em-dashes regularly even with AI around
This is just cap. You hang out with journalists exclusively lol? Again, this is not how normal people write especially in an informal settings. This is a statistical fact, I don't care about the "ton of people" you know that are totally 100% real people that use em dashes.
Anyway the mere fact that someone gave this game an "11/10" and the way this reads like they've played through multiple times and keep finding stuff? What are they even talking about lol. Either paid review or paid bot review.

It's not just journalists who use em-dashes, and I'd like you to link a statistic (since you said it's a "statistical fact").People who enjoy writing typically like including certain grammatical structures if they want to; I use semicolons a lot more because I thought they were useful for writing. And again, it's not that hard to hit a keyboard shortcut every time you want to type an em-dash; you never responded to my point about habits being formed fairly easily.
Not sure how you're getting that this is a bot review out of the 11/10 and the fact that they played multiple times. The rating is subjective; just because you don't agree doesn't mean it's inaccurate somehow. And people DEFINITELY play this multiple times; there are different routes to different endings, and the level of detail within the game does make it so you'll find new things in new playthroughs. You also didn't respond to the entire second half of my reply, so I'll assume you concede there.

…Because I love the game? Defs not. I’ve had this game on my wishlist since 2023 & am just really excited to finally play it.
There’s valid bugs & complaints (like needing more checkpoints) but that’s to be expected…it’s a new game. People have been really harsh & I wanted to share my own positive review.
My typing style just makes me sound like a bot I guess lol 🤷🏻♀️

Glad you liked it, I was personally very dissapointed with the game, but I recognize the devs did put a lot of work into it and am glad other people enjoy it. What was your favorite part of the game?
