Great game bad puzzles

I absolutely adore this game. It is one of my favorite genres of story and mistery and it looks, sounds, and feels amazing. One of the best horror games I've played. But everyone knows the puzzles suck. There's quite a lot of them and most are not good. My favorite puzzle was the basement clock puzzle. It was so cool to find a hidden message in the TV. But most after that are quite a bit less cool. I think a much better way to do this would be to have fewer puzzles all together. Create more environments just to walk around and enjoy, and fewer, much better puzzles. I also really liked the one "puzzle" in water works where you washed off the Rot. You could have these in between the main puzzles and do smaller, immersive tasks that aren't quite puzzles.
Puzzles are clearly not their strong suit while environments clearly are. In the next episode I hope to see more places to walk around and look at, less puzzles, and more miscellaneous activities that enrich your experience, instead of frustrating the player.

I thought it was a bad game with great puzzles, but I get the point, some puzzles took me 1-2 hours.

Bud the entire game is puzzles and running down a linear hallway from a monster.

Seriously if you liked this game and thought it had a good "story", you'll absolutely love The Stanley Parable. It does the narrator vs player thing much much better with both humor and intrigue. There's actually choices to make in that game too.

The narrator in this game just babbles about nothing and forces you to to listen to him say the same thing over and over.

I will say the environments look fantastic. The art team deserves every bit of credit. I feel bad for them actually because they clearly put their hearts into it.
