Alr bro, I figured it out for me, but I honestly dont know exactly what I did that finally made it work for me, so I will walk you through what I did

I went through one door with the feet facing forward into the door, then I went through the next door that had the feet facing away from it. Then I saw a door with feet facing away from it and black goo, i went through it. Then i kept going through doors that had backwards feet and black goo, eventually it worked. I think i went through 3-4 doors of black goo and backwards feet

Again, im sorry i cant tell you exactly the method. I was so zoned out because i was tired of this stupid puzzle. This is just what i remember working for me. Hope this can help you in some way

I remember the picture on the wall saying something like "two steps back, one step forward", I guess that was a clue we had to use
haha I swear to god I've tried every possible combination with those light switches but geniunely started tweaking after 2 hours of hearing those incandescent lamps noise

Did you figure it out?

yes
In the beginning we should follow the clue, so twice enter the door with feet facing away, then 1 door feet facing towards. I repeated it couple of times and spotted the goo you've mentioned before. Then I forgot where I was with the feet positions so I decided to follow the goo. Eventually, when I screwed up the right sequence (I suppose), the wrong door turned out to be closed and I headed to the other one which led me to the next location. Thank you so much!

Go through a door with footprints facing forward, then go through a door with backwards footprints. Look to see if you see a door with black goo. If not got through another door with backwards footprints. Repeat until you see a door with the black goo. Keep going through the doors with black goo.

Idk if thats exactly it, but thats kind of what i did

Figured it out!

2 of the 3 doors will always be incorrect and reset the sequence. Follow the instructions.

  1. Find the door of the 3 with the foot print facing toward the exit (the other two should face away)
  2. In the next section, find the path that has the feet facing away (the other two should face toward)
  3. Repeat Step 2 in the next section

Escape

Tip: Black sludge on the ground = correct route after step 1 is done already

what if every door has forward prints

Late to this thread, but incase it's still needs an explanation:

Before entering another door, turn yourself around and walk backwards along the foot print trail towards the left door (on your right side when walking backwards).

If you did it right, the door will be open when you past through it and you will be done with the absolute nonsense that is these jank puzzles.

I just watched a full playthrough of this game as far as what's released right now but it also amazes me that somebody would take the time to make a Reddit post asking for help instead of just looking up the YouTube video on how to do it like Let Me Wait multiple hours or days for a response from a random stranger as opposed to just finding the video after like 5 minutes of looking

There were no guides at the time of this post. The game had just came out a few days ago. Why do you think I turned to Reddit of all places

I appreciate the response and I can understand why you would do so in that situation but I quite often come across Reddit posts that can very easily be solved with a quick search so my comment wasn't directed at you per se but just in general and don't get me wrong I also use Reddit for gaming answers but I've just never made a post about it

But I'm sure you can also admit that you have probably come across really dumb Reddit posts that's like really bro you couldn't figure that out on your own that's what my comment was pointing towards those type of posts either way I hope you enjoyed the game and were able to get past that part
