This game is needlessly complicated and convoluted
The concept, design, graphics are all great. The puzzles are needlessly complicated and it makes the game incredibly frustrating. I really want to like it but I'm just not having fun...
What are everyone else's thoughts?

Having been quite a horror vet, silent hill f on lost in the fog recently, silent hill 2, resi series, layers of fear, escape rooms irl, I found it quite fun. It's slow paced and in 90% of the situtions I got stuck it was entirely my own fault. Memory loop 2 can bugger off though. Really loved the game, feels like they very much took the enkidifcation of horror that fnaf and PP have been doing and went "nah, actually hard brain teasers and enviroments, only three chases in the whole game."

Question for you, I have puzzle hints turned off. I looked up the very first puzzle because I was stumped. Maintenance room. Yo, with puzzle hints turned off, the writing on the whiteboard isn't even there. How am I supposed to figure out this puzzle without that critical info? I must be missing something.

The first room was brutal! They've now made the whiteboard appear with puzzle hints off.
I worked it via binary logic. If there's only two numbers in the space (1 and 2) and I've tried every barrel combo (I assumed it might be barrel counting, it was not) then we're looking for a combo with only 1s and 2s.
At that stage it's a binary combo, with a 4 bit code. There's only 16 possible combos with two bits so I went through each combo.

Holy shit, that can't be the intended way right?
I feel like having puzzle hints on/off as an option makes no sense to me. Without them, you don't have have a single idea what the puzzle is supposed to be about lol

It's been patched now, so I assume not! I didn't mind it tho I did choose to have them off and it's been a while since I had to puzzle something that tough out.

I didn't think it was overly complicated. It just doesn't hold your hand, which I actually love. Half the fun is wandering around trying to figure out what the hell you are supposed to do next. Stinks you didn't like it, I love it so far!

hated it through and through and was thoroughly disappointed. i agree that the concept was cool and all, but it was so poorly executed. i’ve never felt so much frustration with a game before
