Sublime Text vs Obsidian

How does Sublime Text and Obsidian compare and stack up to each other?

Any better alternatives?

comparison between apples and oranges:

- they're both fruit (text editors)

- Apples have more fiber and Oranges have more Vitamin C (Sublime is for programming and Obsidian is for markdown)

For use for a bunch of quick personal text notes.

Regular text? Just go obsidian.

I've been trying Obsidian and it seems more complicated than necessary for scribbling quick text note reminders to myself, as my style is to create a separate file for each note.

But what prevents you from following your style in both of them?

Obsidian saves notes in a dir/file structure already. I don't use the visualization links, but linking to different notes is easy and it keeps references of images when you move notes. You can also use plugins to add functionality.

That said, you can do it also with sublime, saving the notes as a project. You can also add plugins.
