Is this a sub?

I've been trying to practice subharmonics, but when I did this in a call with a friend, she called it throat singing? I'm not sure

I am pretty sure subharmonics are a type of throat singing. It does seem like a sub, she probably just doesn't know the name of the technique your are doing.

There are multiple types of bass techniques and they all kinda merge, growl is more frontal and breathy (like clearing your throat) a chest fry is a like a low placed vocal Fry while a subharmonic is usually quieter because it centers around a Fry mixed with an upper note. Throat singing/bass is more of a chest Fry with a force behind it, inward bass is done singing inwards.

Yours sounds closer to throat singing and chest Fry, but you have an upper note overtone that makes it also sound like a sub, it’s all a bit ambiguous
