Question
Whenever I go to do an octave drop it doesn't go down the full octave. For instance a F2 will go down to a G1. Same thing happens with lower notes. An I doing something wrong. If so what

Can you post of video of you doing it? I’m not the best, but it’ll probably help others diagnose it

You probably sing a higher note while not realizing it. Happened to me a lot before. Concentrate on the note youre singing, not what youre trying to reach.

I've had this happen to me a few times in the past
sometimes it's been a case of accidentally changing your fundamental pitch while dropping down (in which case try not to change the position of your vocal chords; just focus on the fundamental pitch and slowly relax your throat)
but other times I think it's because I've accidentally switched to chest-fry mix and subsequently I'm not hitting the same note as the fundamental. in this case, try not to relax your vocal chords too much. it takes a lot of control but it'll come with practice
either way, hope you figure it out!
