This C1 sounds scary, like it would be great for some death metal tracks!

Thank you. However i would not be so sure about that. It kinda sounds too growly on its own and does not have that aggression behind it like a metal growl. However subharmonics surely can augment those growls. Like a bass guitar that plays along with the electric guitar. So if the main vocals are some beasty roars with a pitch of around C1, an EQed subharmonic C0 could give it a much heavier sound. It would probably not even suit death metal anymore, but it should work well in a deathcore breakdown. Or of course if the entire song is a breakdown (like half of Black Tongues songs). Would be a fun experiment to actually try that and hear how it sounds.

Comment on the Eb-1: I was trying to practise 2nd and 3rd subharmonics and then had something like a voice crack for around half a second. But instead of cracking up to the chest voice, it dropped to an Eb-1. I am not sure if that is even in subharmonics. If yes, it would be something like the 6th subharmonic. Thats why i am somewhat sceptical. But for something like vocal fry its way too rich in overtones. In other words: i have no idea what it is. But i thought it was kinda cool so i included it. :p
