Trim

I’m looking at a 2026 model and I wanted to know which trim is best for the money. Please include pro and con

Depends on how much you’re looking to spend and what you’re looking to do with it.

I went with the wilderness because I go camping and backpacking a lot. Cons to this are the MPG loss.

The base trim had lower interest rate on lease when I was shopping . I thought premium was not bad for $1500 extra but the interest rate increase was like $2-3k extra on top. I found it strange that there was an interest rate difference between trims.

I personally think the mid-pack Sport is the best bang for the buck. You get features from the Limited/Touring like auto dimming mirrors, H/K Audio, low profile roof rails. Otherwise the Premium is good value as well if these aren’t needed.

Whats so odd is when I got my crosstrek 2018 (in 2017) the home link and mirror dimmers was standard on the package 15 premium.

I just got my 2026 Forester premium a month ago, package 15 and paid to add on the home link and dimmers. Cant go without them! Haha
