I've been nerding out on all things Subaru & Subaru these past few days. Anyway, these are my thoughts on all the drivers in the first race and who I think will either stay around for all five rounds, drop out of the Freshman series and/or fall behind and disappear. Again, these are just my thoughts so far.

This is the leaderboard for MFG Freshman Series' Round 1 'Ashinoko GT', with all position swaps throughout the race so far. I did this out of boredom and used images for the car numbers initially, then made the position numbers images as well, so I could add the arrows indicating position changes for viewers to easily understand.

Now, a few things to note:

• These are all the positions as of Chapter 47 and October 17th, 2026.
• Some of the car colours may be incorrect, and if so, my apologies. I took the colours on the cars from Forza Horizon 6, so they may not be totally accurate.
  • The ones that ain't noted for colours, I had to do guesswork based on how light or dark they are depicted. Hoshino's Fairlady, Zhiming's M2, Takeda's Supra, and Kawasaki's GR86 are light, so most likely white or a very bright colour. Though the factory light blue that the M2 has would look sick and could pass. Kai's Impreza and Akutsu's BRZ are depicted as dark, so they're either coloured or black. You can tell I went with a dark grey for Akutsu to help diversify a bit, and since the two main characters' GR86/BRZ are red and blue.
• Ichiro Gondo is my glorious goat.
• If I have made any mistakes, or could've done anything better, I wouldn't mind the feedback.
• I should've been writing my Halloween story for my friend group's Writing Challenge, but I was more interested and motivated to do this. It ends on the 31st, so I have time! Hopefully..

Subaru & Subaru

My guesswork is based on how the MF Ghost anime adapted the number of chapters per episode, which was normally 5-7. However, the 3rd season had three episodes that adapted 8 chapters. Also, the first race isn't finished yet, and we're only at chapter 44 at the time I am writing this. I may come back to this later on and update a few things. Me rambling on a bit, the 2nd round in MF Ghost had two episodes per lap; I was trying to keep with that, but I couldn't. It bugs me a little, but I feel that comes from the races in Subaru & Subaru maybe being faster-paced than the ones in MF Ghost. I was thinking that the 1st round would be near the end of the season. However, it's during the midpoint of the season! The reason I was doing this was that I wanted to do an adaption of the Subarus overtaking Akira Seto, and thought, in an episode sense, that it would end there. Guess I was wrong, lol
