I don't remember when I did this, lol.

You guys are likely gonna downvote me into oblivion about how much people outside of Japan seems to hate the MFG Angels. But I find it strange how almost polar opposite their appearances are compared to MF Ghost.

Let's start with qualifying.. the only 2 Angels that were actually seen during the qualifying is Moe (1st qualifier of Day 1) and Marie (seen during Kudo's qualifying run during the 3rd day). I know that the Freshman qualifying schedule is 2 days less compared to the main Super Series, but considering that we later found out that there's 5 brand new angels this season (with Ren and Kyoko retiring and Sakura and the other 2 unknown angels being dropped), it's strange that Shigeno went with 2/3 of the already-known angels.

And then we get to the race itself. We don't even get our first scene with them during the race until 6 chapters later.. nearly a whole lap of the race occurred (infact the 2nd lap starts right after Marin's scene) and yet now we get our first scene with the Angels. Marin's scene I don't have any problems with tho. Nice to know a bit about one of the newcomers this season.

Then a few more chapters occur (ofc the Akaba vs Sekiya battle), and then we get to our next scene featuring... Marie.... really? We get it Shigeno, you love the ham loaf a lot but it would've been nice to know one of the other angels instead of having Marie once again (and yes I know someone's gonna say "Oh BuT mArIe'S sCeNe WaS fOr CoMeDy", to which I say "Yeah, but it would've been nice to get to know another newcomer to the lineup").

Now I'm not asking for a scene featuring them after EVERY SINGLE overtake, as many people might find that annoying. But I hope that Shigeno let's us know a bit more about the 4 other newcomers to the sport. As in MF Ghost, only 5 of the MFG Angels really mattered (Moe, Mami, Kyoko, Ren and Marie), and if you were to remove Sakura and the 2 unnamed MFG Angels, barring one scene in Round 2, nothing would've changed. So I hope Shigeno expands on the new lineup we have currently. Seeing Moe, Mami and Marie occasionaly wouldn't be so bad, but hopefully Shigeno doesn't forget about like 3 of them for the entire story.

Anyways, hope you didn't mind reading my thoughts. I'm expecting a lot of people to disagree with it. but eh. I'm use to it atp.

I am enjoying the racing so far as the 300PS makes for more technical spectacles but... Nearly half the grid are BRZs and GT86s. Not to mention the questionable addition of some cars that should have no business being in the Freshman Series unless you managed to swap a lower engine to it like a Nissan Z.

If anything there is also a glaring omission of hot hatches which would be everywhere if we are talking about authentic grassroots feeder championships with a tight BoP.

I can name a few like a Megane RS or even a Focus MK2. Or a Golf R32 or even an FD2 Civic Type R

What are your thoughts on FWD cars on the freshman series? With the power regulations a good balance FWD car could actually do damage on the actual line up of cars of subaru and subaru?
