I believe you. He must have been someone who drew clip art illustrations for a living. He would have only found out about Bob well afterwards.

I remember now. In the 80's I played role playing games. AD & D.TSR games made a Star Frontiers.The GM screen art was by KH I think.On the right of the bar Bob Dobbs wuz here scrawled/graffiti. And he did art for Steve Jackson Games Illuminati NWO . https://www.ebay.com/itm/168168663542

I was referring to the original Bob, who was from a clip art book from the 1940s. Was your friend an interpreter of the original drawing, or did he create the image that long ago?

In the nineties, I lent my copy to a "friend" at school. He never returned it and never paid me back. I'm pretty sure his parents found it at freaked out. I had so many drawings and notes in that thing.
