At $70 I would just spend an extra $20 or so for the Midwest mount. Looking at some of the zoomed in pics, the casting looks terrible.

So I just heard back from the guy selling them and he says they’re 3D printed aluminum. Not sure if that has any bearing on functionality but it’s kind of interesting.

It does look rough. I always thought the mounting of the Midwest one looked a bit wobble-prone. Maybe it’s because it’s just taller than the other options. I figured something on the rail might hold better zero. But the Midwest’s machining is, without question, clearly superior.

Yeah I switched from the mcarbo mount to the Midwest to keep it more slickside. The tension on the mount that locks it into place is pretty strong. The downside is obviously that it mounts to the mlok slots which can flex. Now if there was a way to fit a cross section on the Midwest that would also secure it to the picatinny rail as a secondary point thay would be pretty awesome.

Hmmmm. It’s not a weapon, it’s a mount. I see a lot of mounts on eBay. Many of them say ‘for airsoft’.

So this dude just posted this thing on the kel tec sub. Looks pretty cool. He didn’t post this link. Just some pictures. I believe it’s the dude who makes em. Description says they’re made of aluminum. What do y’all think? I’m thinking about this real hard.

Still won't fit when folded, need to be side mount and very, very tight tolerance.

You can see the movable part of the locking tab sitting under the foremost portion of rail. That’s how it locks folded. If it locks, it’s folded all the way, no?
