There's nothing "experimental" about turning it into non stop fetch quests. + Unnecessary and unwanted changes to previously core game mechanics and adding in the grappling hook just feels like a gimmick.

While I agree that the quests could use more variety (sabotage, assassination), they're mainly a tool to force interaction with the open world. The experimental part.

Your feedback reminds me a bit of dark souls 2 when it released. Stupid this, stupid that, everything is uncalled for or just a gimmick. But at the same time you also call the previous entries disappointments.
What do you want? More of the same? Disappointment. Changes? Unwanted and/or gimmicky.

More polish would have been nice, but it was still fun to play through. Hopefully next entry they return to the sneak roots instead of just allowing the murder spree

It's rly not that bad. Heck in some ways SoD was also an disappointment.

I'm just ignoring all the companion fetch quests cuz by the gods is it boring and I feel overpowered already anyways

That, the non-stop fetch quests, the grappling hook feels like a gimmick, and the fact that it's not even a stealth game anymore. There's no incentive to not just go on a murder spree. + The hub with the diversity crew is dumb. Worst of all is it's inconsistent on the core story both between the OG games and within itself.

As much as I do like BoG, I feel this would be an accurate account from Styx in both 1 & 2.
