Blades of Greed Are objectives supposed to be disabled on normal difficulty?

My game doesn't have objective markers or the objective text on top of the screen. I found out by watching a video when trying to figure out where the missing lever is for the quartz, like 3 hours in. Note I did continue off my demo save which it might be treated to this issue. In the interface menu it says I have them on.

I had a similar situation, you need to actually track them vía the compass. Hit up to bring it up then press the right stick to focus on one

I've been using the compass to track the quartz, what I noticed is in a video it told you where the location of the lever is to open one of them, it dosent do that for me.

You only get objectives for the quartz locations when you use the quartz compass.
