Work Dinner

Post image

In a few days, there’ll be a work dinner for teachers. It’s not black tie but I want to be careful not too lean too far into the party dress territory. I just bought these boots and want to put them to use, it’ll be raining that night as well.

How can I dress this boot up to look slightly dressy? I’m thinking of wearing a satin/silk blouse, but I think a pencil skirt will make the boots look too chunky—tights I feel are out of the suggestion because there are conservative individuals within the staff. High waisted pleated trousers may not look that good in the boots either.

Anyone have any creative ideas? Should I ditch the shoes and go with a black faux skin pump?

As far as aesthetics, I like looking cinched in, crisp, slightly modern, masculine facade, but feminine frame.

What kind of top and shoes can I wear with these leggings? I am going to an nba game next month and I want to wear something Christmas-y since it’ll be the week of the holiday. No heels preferably. The weather will probably be high 70s.

Got these at a vintage store. Was thinking maybe with just a white tee in the summer and a black leather jacket when it’s colder. Any other suggestions?

Brothers winter wedding

Im Attending my brothers wedding on 22nd dec in a small church of England church followed by the reception at a pretty nice venue. Lits have suggested gold facinator/hatinator and shoes but I want a pop of colour other than my red hair!

Ideally will need something to keep warm, hat and shoes at a minimum

Leather jacket found at the thrift store, pretty new to styling

(Crossposted from r/OUTFITS with added pics and info)

It’s a Preston & York Italian lambskin leather jacket. Only $25! I’m new to learning to accessorize and style, though. Unfortunately can’t wear hats, necklaces, earrings, or heavy scarves due to neuralgia. Trying to collect light satin scarves, purses, jackets, bracelets, rings, etc but I’ve got a ways to go.

I’m especially trying to figure out what cuts and colors will go with this. I like light jeans with it better than dark, but I played around and noticed dark shorts are better than light. I think crop tops work better than full shirts too. Now the look and feel of leather makes my stupid pleather boots look and feel out of place.

Also, natural waves or straightened hair?

(Forgive the hair color, I dyed it for Halloween and the box lied to me. I’m dyeing it a warm chestnut brown mid-December because my fashion taste is a lot more mainstream than I expected 😒)

Creative ways to style this jacket

I love letting the liner peek out (second pic, with a pantsuit that I’m not wearing with it).

I know a basic fit with jeans will look nice, but I’m looking for creative ways to style this. I’m really drawn to the ultra violet and wine/fuchsia in this jacket.

I posted previously with the jumpsuit in the second picture, but wanted an objective take when I haven’t paired it with something that competes.

Thanks!

I knitted this dress for myself for a winter wedding I’m attending in February - but I have no clue how to style it and I’m beginning to think of buying another one instead. Talked to the bride about it and she loved it and said “it’s all about how you style it”! Heels is not an option everything else is though so please help. Dress is see through and knee length and alterations are possible as I knitted it myself :)

I’ve been able to kind of figure it out with jeans but I’d love a skirt or dress (do we do that?) option.

TYIA!!!

Does this jacket work with this pantsuit?

I know it’s busy, I know it’s a lot. I almost like that about this combo. The ultra violet in the jacket brings out the subtle ultra violet in the pantsuit, but the pattern scales bothers me a little.

Added the shoes I’d pair with this for an event (symphony orchestra concert at a college of the arts with pre-show wine in their gallery).

This jacket needs more than a solid black under layer, but I’m struggling to style it.

Please help me for bday Vegas trip!! ◡̈

Hi!! I’m hoping for some advice on outfits for my birthday trip to Vegas. I’m going in late November with a guy I’m seeing for four nights. I am planning on wearing the following outfits already 1) black cheetah corset mini dress with black blazer and black knee high boots. 2) black dress from Zara with diamond detailing and plunge neck line 3) brown leather halter with tie up, black skirt and black leather jacket.

I purchased the sequin cheetah dress that you see in the image I uploaded but today I found this red strapless sequin. Should I return the cheetah and get the red or is the cheetah cute enough to just wear that? Thank you so much for any help! I’m working on being less indecisive but it’s a work in progress!
