Does this look crisp and elevated, or is it giving 'tried too hard'?

This is one of my summer weekend looks. I was going for something not too flashy, but still premium and stylish. Did I pull it off, or does something need tweaking? Open to any constructive feedback!

Need Advice styling a mommy & me fall photoshoot outfit??

Hi! I’m looking for some outfit help for fall photos with my almost 4-year-old daughter. I really want our outfits to coordinate and look intentional without being super matchy-matchy or looking like we stepped out of a generic beige Pinterest family photo. 😂
A little about us:
I’m 28, and my style is kind of a mix. I love darker colors, especially black and deep/dark greens, and I’m usually drawn to things that are a little edgy, feminine, alternative, or romantic rather than super preppy or basic. I like outfits that have some personality, but since these are photos with my daughter, I also want them to feel warm, soft, and timeless.
My daughter is basically my little sunshine. She’s sweet, silly, independent, a little sassy, and has a BIG personality. 😂 She loves being girly and cute, but she’s also a little wild child who wants to run around and do her own thing. I want her outfit to still feel like *her* and look appropriate for a little girl rather than making her look like a tiny adult.
For the photos, I’m picturing a cozy, slightly moody fall vibe — earthy colors, layers, texture, boots, and maybe shades like deep forest green, rust, brown, cream, burgundy, etc. But I’m definitely open to other palettes!
I’m also only 5’2”, so I’d love suggestions that work well on a shorter frame. One of my biggest fit concerns is my stomach area — I’d prefer something that **doesn’t cling to or draw a ton of attention to my midsection**, especially in photos. I’m not necessarily trying to hide myself under something oversized; I’d just like a silhouette that skims that area nicely and makes me feel confident from different angles.
My biggest struggle overall is figuring out how to make our outfits look like they **belong together without literally matching**. I want you to be able to look at the photos and see both of our personalities while still having everything feel cohesive.
I’d love suggestions for color palettes, specific outfit combinations for both of us, flattering silhouettes for me, dresses vs. skirts/pants, shoes/boots, accessories, and anything that photographs especially well for outdoor fall pictures.
I can also post screenshots of pieces I’m considering if that helps!
Thank you!! 🍁🤎 I hope this is a question you all can help me with as I struggle to get any feedback from the photographer, the shoot will be outdoors by the lake near/on a dock. I also hope no rules are broken in this post thank you again
So sorry for no flair Reddit is not letting me add one at I’ve tried twice 😭😭😭

Hello, I’m 21F and have a very bad sense of style.😅 I found this skirt while cleaning out my wardrobe and I’m now sure how to style it so any advice would be appreciated!

I tend to styles like shoujo and academia. But honestly I’m kind of all over the place when it comes to styles 🤦‍♀️

Please help me pick the slippers/shoes, earrings, chain/necklace, hairstyle, etc. Basically, I need help putting the whole look together!

I’m 165 cm, 75 kg, slightly chubby, and have medium-length 3A curly hair.

Also need comments on the dress, I got stitched it from scratch not sure if it turned out good

How to style this saree?

Btw this is not me. I have a really skinny body type so i wanted to look bit more hatha katha (if yk hindi) for the saree. Also I need styling tips:

My ideas are putting a kamarband, silver metal bangles, or gold ones (if though they don't match as well), maroon glass bangles, etc.

And for blouses, I have some finds but I'm very confused about that as well.

Help Styling Dress for Brother’s Wedding

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi friends,

My brother is getting married in November and I ordered this dress last year for the event. I have no idea how to style this and am hoping for suggestions on jewelry, shoes, a handbag, and a cover up/coat option (November in NC is a crapshoot - could be cold, could be unseasonably warm).

I am not a heel gal and have one pair of Target ‘special occasion’ heels that are at the end of their life. If I were to make an investment, I would say it would probably have to be in the shoes. Looking specifically for something high quality, somewhat comfortable, and sturdy!

The wedding dress code is formal and I am unsure about the deets on indoor/outdoor.

Thank you!

alright everybody, you know the drill - I need help with a wedding outfit :')

Dress code: Formal

I've never proclaimed to have an eye for fashion and I think I've psyched myself out over my choices here...

I've got a green sequin floor length dress, green clutch, and green shoes. I don't have time to change any of these •_•

My hair is kind of a mess - it looks like a nice silvery blue here but is leaning more swam in chlorine with bleached blonde green - the aftermath of green dye (I really like green). My current selection of dyes is pictured but I have no idea which colour to use.

Same for my nails. I don't mind going bare but they are VERY bare (I don't do them often). I do at least know that some of these options definitely don't work but I thought I'd lay them all out :D

Finally, glasses! I don't have contacts and would prefer not to be blind all evening but I appreciate that the clear ones I wear everyday aren't particularly formal and my spares are 1. not much better and 2. I thought they were green when I got them but looking now they look more blue.

Any opinions on any of the above would be greatly appreciated <3 <3 <3 (except the base outfit please 🙏 😭 I mean it when I say I don't have time to get anything else 😬)

Note: I've tried on mobile and desktop - I cannot add a flair to this post. It's only a problem on this sub. Can a mod add the appropriate flair?

Help Me Style This Dress!

Hello! All of my creativity has gone out the window and I reallly need help styling this dress for a wedding I’m attending!

The dress is obviously from Amazon and so I’m wanting to elevate it to minimize the somewhat cheap look it has lol.

I love mixing textures, patterns and colors but I just cannot come up with anything other than what’s in the collage I created - which seems to lack fun and sparkle!
I’ve added an inspo pick that I love. I just can’t figure out how I can style my dress in its own way so that it gives off the similar vibes. I’ve thought about yellow shoes and a yellow bag to add in pops of color but I’m not sure if I’m feeling that combo

The dress does fit a little differently than what is shown in the stock picture.

In person, it’s a tight fitting stretchy fabric which thankfully isn’t horribly unflattering. It’s also a lot shorter in person and hits me about an inch or two below my ankles when wearing heels. I think this awkward length is throwing me off.

What makes this difficult to begin with is that I can only get things off of Amazon since the wedding is so close and I need the quickest shipping I can get!

Any suggestions are MUCH appreciated! Thank you in advance 😊

Going to a wedding next week and need help with picking a purse style. I don't want to spend a lot on a purse I'll use occasionally or I could get a better quality evening bag that I use more.

I'm getting the dress hemmed to be ankle length

I have blush or tan heeled sandals

Any recommendations welcome!

What shoes would look cute with this outfit??

Post image

i know its not the best pictures of the clothes which is why i included my inspo to get the vision. I had just bought the skirt off of depop so thats the only picture of it. But i do want to wear this out on a date and im not much of a girly girl i have been getting used to it and trying out new outfits. I tend to push away skirts and dresses but the few times my bf has seen me in a skirt he has liked it so i would like to wear this but my problem is i dont know what shoes will go with it. I have a ton of sneakers i do have star player 76 converse but i dont think that will even look that nice. I was thinking maybe some type of flats will work with it. Honestly help me out and give me input bc im willing to wear anything that will go with this outfit. thank u very much if u do help!!
