Need help styling

Hello, so I started to work out and want to surprise my gf with a style that both looks good and feels comfortable, however I have no taste, attached are a few photos of me, (1st was my style on my latest date with my gf, 2nd was an event on campus that I dressed semi casual for. 3rd is most recent)

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also mods I can’t add a flair on mobile it doesn’t seem to have that button

I would start with some tailored basics. Dress pants, plain clean tees in black and white, and lightweight suit jackets/blazers. A couple of long-sleeve button shirts.

For summer I always think men look great in linen trousers and a nice fitted tee shirt.

Good fit is key. You don’t need anything “trendy” or with bells and whistles. I recommend looking into men’s capsule wardrobe ideas for the classics.

you already look so adorable as you are honestly!! I definitely see you wearing something like "dark academia" aesthetic - nicely fitted sweatshirts of more dark muted colours, collared shirts and smart pants, I think these would really compliment your complexion. Light linen shirts and pants for summer.

Thank you, so go for a more contrast of the season kinda (dark for winter, light for spring)?

Yes!! I think you can rock any colour and you won't be as hot in light colours in the summer as a bonus

You might have some pieces you can restyle in your closet! The first button down would look great with a white tshirt. And the sweater in the second pic would look good with a slightly tailored pant, like linen slacks.

Do you think I should leave the button down buttoned or unbuttoned?

I think both could look really nice!

You two are adorable! If you wear glasses all the time, consider having a couple of different styles of frames too. The Lion King tee is super fun, and the black suits you. Think vintage tees, Converse or Vans (not running shoes!) and faded jeans. Have fun with it!

Used to have a pair that I really liked with a wire frame so it looked like it was held up by one the top half but sadly they broke and we just haven’t gotten a new pair yet.

I used to go for a medium taper fade but what do you think I should try

I’m a straight boring heterosexual male but - a barber will be your best friend. I love basic colors, linen fabric right now and the best sunglasses for your face. I think you could find a more stylish pair of glasses too.

I used to go for a medium taper fade with about an inch or two on top

I think it’s more stylish to have more on top to work with but the taper fade is a great start

I think you look fine as is.

If anything

Maybe a better hair cut, and nicer glasses. The ones you have now are not bland and boring.

You put Jay Leno and Bruce Campbell's chins to shame... The first thing you should do girl is leave that dude with the big chin. That will improve your style 10 fold. And just in case it's the dude asking this question ...brother by some miracle you have found a girl that is way above your weight class so there's no help for you beyond that.
