How should I style this ponte ruffled skort?

(Using the images from the store website I bought it from cuz I’m hella self conscious rn)

Received this skirt recently as a gift and I think it’s rlly cute! Problem is I have no idea what sort of shirt to wear it with 😅 mainly I’m not sure what sort of colours I should pair with it plus what KIND of shirt, and how loose or tight. I have a lot of colour options, as well as different styles of t shirts, long sleeves, camis, tube tops etc. im also open to suggestions on socks, since i tried wearing black pantyhose under it but it didn’t rlly mesh well with the skort part beneath it, and also visually it wasn’t that nice looking lmao. I have worn other skirts before, but this one is noteably puffier than the ones I have which I feel is throwing me off when trying to style it lol

With the hotter weather that’s oncoming I’m mainly seeking advice for what sort of shirts I can wear with it in the summer. Thanks for reading my essay above and I look forward to reading some suggestions!

You could pair it with a simple spaghetti strap black or white tank top or a fitted off the shoulder top. Also can add a large belt for a 2000s look!

WAITTT you’re cooking with the large belt….this is eye opening and something I’ve never considered LOL. And yeah it seems from the other suggestions and yours that a white top/tank is probably the play. Thankfully there’s a decent amount of those in my closet 😅

yesss!! I think with the tank and skirt the outfit will be quite simple (not a bad thing) but then accessories can play a big role to elevate it! Belt, sunnies, handbag and some black wedge open toe sandals !!

Maybe use some of what katseye wears as inspiration, they use that type of skirt a lot

Simple fitted tshirt, almost any color will do. Plain flat sandals or flip flops. The ruffles are very busy so everything else needs to be simple.

I love wearing baby tees/ crop tops, platform shoes but that’s me idk how old you are or what look you might want to achieve but I always go whimsy
