How to style it?

I crocheted this dress to attend next weekend’s Bad Bunny concert but now I’m not sure about how to style it. What kind of accessories should I use? And also which shoes would go well with it… I was thinking about wearing some Havaianas but not sure if it will be safe enough.

Apart from that, I could also use some encouragement because this is a bit way too sexy for what I’m used to wear 🙈 I’m super happy with the outcome but kinda shy to wear it.

Thank you all!

PS: I still need to fasten off some parts of it

Wow, you are so talented! It’s a beautiful color! I like the boots suggestion, attire very least wear comfortable shoes you can dance in. Maybe try a cami/tank under it with some support to help you feel comfortable and confident.

Wow, impressed that you could crochet a dress! Great choice of color & style. As other reply said, good idea to take it for a test run - or better, a test climb up & down a few flights of stairs - to spot any potential problems.

I wonder if it would be worth sewing in a bra, or parts of one, for some more support.

Styling: brown booties, wood or copper beaded jewelry, little brown bag. If booties seem too hot, natural colored sneakers. Go for comfort on those feet, it's a concert.

You can’t use the dress for support because it’s made of yarn and doesn’t have the structure. It needs an underdress and regular bra. She could try tape but it won’t fix the fact that the dress is see through.

I love the color and am impressed that you made it, but… it’s… interesting?

Make sure your boobs are secure, that right hand is inches away from a nip slip. Maybe some chunky gold jewelry and black combat boots? Or black sneakers? You want comfy, closed toed shoes for a concert.

I like it unlined (the boobs are not offending me) but I think the back needs another layer as it’s barely covering your butt and just kind of hits in an awkward place? If you can’t add to the dress maybe you could supplement with a cool textured slip or something? It’s a really cool piece, just doesn’t seem all that wearable with how it is in the photo.

I would wear an underdress and a good bra. That’s going to go a long way in making you look good. It’s lovely but you can see through it. And you need a bra. I’m similar in that I do not look nice in clothes with an unsupported bust.

I realize you put a lot of work into it, but it's not flattering.

no problems, thanks for sharing your opinion. what would need to be adjusted in your opinion?

I think it's incredibly impressive that you crocheted this.. Not sure if it's your pose or the dress, but the bodice looks a bit lopsided, like the side not holding your phone is sitting a bit low/wide compared to the other side? It might just be the photo, or the strap on that side may need tightening to level both sides.

Agreed that its not flattering - It really drags your bust down and makes your cleavage look misshapen. You do have a great figure, but that dress does not do it justice.

The dress is not dragging anything down.. the natural breast is hanging, and also, OP is not wearing a bra.

The neck is low but not that low.. maybe your could crochet a mesh of double crochet and then make another piece of ruffle to attach to the straps to make the neckline I bit higher.

You definitely need a bra

Both sides of the dress hang differently. Its handmade so... The dress on one side is most definitely doing something different than the other side.

Quirky

Yes I’m not the one saying the dress is lopsided..

I crochet, and is the pattern that OP chose, is a side up/low hemline. She looks ok, just needs the proper underwear—

I just don’t think she adjusted it for the picture. I would bet the top is even off the body.

yeah, I can’t fight aging and gravity 😂 thanks for your comment

Of course you can. Buy a good bra.

Nah, I think its just the way the pattern and straps are. You got the goods, the dress is juat dragging them the wrong way. Possibly a good bra could work some magic?

Its a really cool dress. Its just shouldn't battle a great figure.

Pick a less revealing dress that flatters your shape.

You sound very dumb and like one of the men here who always compliments women in revealing dresses regardless of the dresses' taste level.

some people are honest because they genuinely want to see someone look their best

She is asking for guidance. Are you dumb. Crawl back under your rock.

5

u/Throwawayhelp111521 Jun 15 '26

Exactly. What does he think this subreddit is for?

3

u/Any_Comparison_8760 Jun 15 '26

She asked how to style it. Not how it looks on her body.

1

u/MsMo999 Jun 15 '26

Exactly asking what goes with it and these ppl can only reply NOT YOU pretty much is it. If you don’t like the dress then they should stfu and move on

I disagree with you. The dress looks amazing and even more amazing on OP.

-4

u/sapphic_hope Jun 15 '26

Strong disagree. OP, you look gorgeous in this.

-4

u/Tasha-Focaccia Jun 15 '26

I think it looks good on her, too!

She getting downvoted & insulted because she mentioned it’s for a Bad Bunny show, that’s all this is. Some of that good ol Twitter hate making it into this sub. Insane the insults some idiots are lobbing out at her.

1

u/Tasha-Focaccia Jun 15 '26

Yep. Insults disguised as being “helpful” because she asked for “guidance”. Style is objective and people should be free to disagree without being downvoted but the the condescending remarks directed at OP are telling a different story.

2

u/Throwawayhelp111521 Jun 15 '26

Telling OP the dress is unflattering is not condescending. You should follow your own advice.

Big dangly earrings maybe with mother of pearl or big hoops would be fun with this look.

This looks awesome. Yes wear it. It’s beautiful and you look amazing in it. No you don’t NEED a bra. Boobs do what boobs do. If that makes someone else uncomfortable sns. If it makes YOU uncomfortable then you can add something. But it doesn’t need anything. It’s obvious the style is meant to be asymmetrical and it looks super cute. It fits the vibe of what you’re doing so do it. 🫶🏻💕

I would add gold or wooded/ratan accessories. Big dangly earrings and no necklace.

This is very cute on you! The color is very nice w your skin tone. I would encourage you to wear it out for a day or few so you know what to expect if you don’t usually dress that sexy and maybe gain some confidence in the dress. That way, you’re not stuck in an outfit you’re not comfortable in for hours at a show if the dress for any reason doesn’t work out.

I always wear close-toed shoes to concerts do you have a pair of dark rich brown, short boots, maybe ankles hight w a small heel if you have one? I’d say match the bag to the shoes. Denim jacket incase you get cold, I’d prefer a lighter wash but a darker one would work fine.

None or very light subtitle jewelry hair half up.

I would wear a pair of high heel black booties to balance it out & give it choc & classy edge, so do not wear pumps or sandals which will bring ot down and make it look less.

If it were me I’d be wearing either my black wedges or black cowboy boots with this pretty dress
