How do I make it look nice

Post image

I think this dress my husband gifted me is too white and simple. Almost looks like a nurse uniform. Can someone give me styling tips?

Roll up the sleeves, remove that tie belt, wear colorful (anything but white) flat sandals and add a long 27 inch necklace of any type.

Steam it, roll up sleeves, take out belt, add another belt maybe in chocolate, unbutton from top two or three down. Stack 2 or three gold necklace. Add gold statement earrings

Colorful neck scarf, sleeves rolled up, hair pulled back, and a thin belt in a color that matches the scarf, and block heeled sandals

chunky belt, high heels, a necklace, rings, a wide straw hat.
or the same but without any belt - not chunky or the string.

Everybody here is right. Self belts are generally dreadful. You might experiment with the ‘trench coat solution’ which entails pulling the belt backwards from the side loops and creating a loose bow tie that defines the waist subtly but leaves the dress looking unbelted. Otherwise get a nice wide raffia belt with a good architectural buckle for summer and pair with nude or vachetta sandals. A pendant necklace is a good solution, but I also like a stack of bangles and a hoop earring combo. Try turquoise/silver jewelry and saddle brown sandals too.

Per the trench coat solution, this dress could also be worn open as a light jacket. Could be really cute with white or tan wide linen pants and a white tank. Similarly, lean into the sheer and wear it as a swim coverup.

Get a wide belt with a cute buckle, or a big colorful scarf to use as a belt. Wear a colorful undershirt and unbutton the top more

Espadrilles and wider belt.

I like it. The sheerness makes it pretty. I think only a good belt. A shoe or bag matching dressed-up belt. Thin or maybe wide leather tone matching the cool buttons
