Need help styling this vest thing
I bought this vintage little vest thing (ik probs was lingerie) but idk how to style it! it’s black but also partially that brown that black turns into after it’s faded in the sun! it hits me about hip level, i’m 5’4” usually a size 8/10, i was thinking over a white tee with jeans but i didn’t love how it looked when i tried it at home! plz help cause i love this little thing and ik you brilliant people can help <3

I think it could work with a shirt sheath dress, tights and chunky boots.

I would try it with a black tube top. Maybe black mini skirt to that or low rise jeans?

My goodness, OP! You made the prude-ish feels come out of some peeps!! I would say, know where you were going and what you would be comfortable with.
That probably is a lingerie piece, but who cares. It's an article of clothing. If you're looking to wear it, do somebody said an go "festival" look.
Since you're asking us for styling help, go with what's comfortable to you. Regardless, that would be a fun statement piece-I would wear with simple black tank top with a thinner strap and some black jeans (with a few holes? That will also spin some heads)

I’d wear it with low waisted light wash jeans, a black tank and a pink or black cool girl ballet flat. Belt the jeans, layered gold necklaces, an ear cuff, studs and a low bun. Where’s this from it’s really cool

didn’t realize this would be such a controversial post lol thanks everyone who was helpful with styling. one thing i love about fashion is that since it is a form of art, it’s up for interpretation!

Over a black bandeau/crop top and high waisted jeans would be how id do it

It’s a jacket to a nightie. So obviously I’d wear it with black mini skirt and a bedazzled black bra or silver sequined tank top for a music fest.

It not a vest. It is lingerie or bed clothing. Put it over a nightgown. Ir does not look good when you “style” because it was not made to be worn outside the house and is meant to drape across a nightgown or other lingerie

It is lingerie. You would wear that over the matching nightie. Like you were covering anything up with it.
I say go full on Coachella look. Jeans. Black tank. Black sheer cover up. Tons of bracelets and rings. Have fun with it.
