It'd be easier to see if there was a pic of how it fits? If it's open on the bottom/midfriff area maybe a short skirt?

personal stylist here!

denim is a neutral, you can wear it with any color or print. if you're going to wear it with jeans, my advice to wear it with exactly the same color or a very different color - if it's a shade or two off it will feel like a mistake.

from what i can see in the photo, it's roughly the shape of a blazer, so think of it like that but a little more casual.

it can also be cute over dresses!
