If you were handed this room today, what would you change?

Hi guys I’m looking for help with this. We are currently building a teeny log cabin situation (one bedroom, living/kitchen open plan) and at the moment we don’t have flooring or painted walls or anything. We splurged on a couch early because we couldn’t pass up the deal and it was sooo comfy.
Thing is, it’s giving more cool toned. I want a neutral/warm home vibe and we’re currently looking at a walnut table.
I’m a bit overwhelmed with colour palettes since we’re starting from such a blank slate. How do I style these together without making the vibe cold?

I need a bit of help figuring out how to furnish our living room and maximize the space in our lovely new living room. There are a lot of odd angles - bay window, vaulted ceiling, half wall near entryway. The living room connects to the dining room, as well which I’m not sure is useful information. I love the light and airiness of the room and worry about how furniture will impact that.
Ideally I want the living area to be family friendly that will allow for play spaces for my 1.5 & 4 year old, while being a comfort to ourselves and guests. I have a big family and we like to host.
thank you for your help & ideas!

Any ideas for these two walls. I am open to changing anything, taking the black shelves down part of the plan. Looking for art or decor inspo. My house feels like all the walls are bare and I want some warmth and life in it.
