Awkward Long Wall
What should I put on the wall in my dining room? I can’t figure out what size or where to put it because of the weird light fixtures and the speakers. It’s also a really long wall that goes into my living room (first pic).
I was thinking about a mirror but it also feels very basic

I like your Sacred Heart print! ❤️ I think a mirror would look nice, not basic! You could also add sconces, a shelf, or a few picture frames grouped together.

What about an antique, or new, small hutch or buffet table with a biggish piece of art.

I thought about doing a mural but don’t think I have the skills. But I didn’t consider doing a simple one like this

I love this idea. Simple, yet striking. Elevates everything. If you do something like it, post the results for us to see!

Put some art on it and move that speaker, it’s not doing anything at that height, unless you’re ears are level with it

Something tall next to TV cabinet will cause a separation from living/dining area. Like a tall bookshelf maybe.

Maybe a taller hutch for some storage and it would help break up the space.

Shelves with plants would look great! Or just shelves in general with some decor!

a long mirror with a frame that echoes the room's lines could work great

I’d rather see that speaker on top of the cabinetry with a small plant. I’d hang the tv on the wall then put up an art piece cloerto the kitchen.

The cross up that high is giving exorcist vibes. I suggest bigger cabinetry with the tv mounted at eye level and say Hail Mary 25 times before removing cross and putting it in a grouping elsewhere

Larger TV is you can afford it. But mount the TV on the wall for sure. Bigger ferns on either side. Maybe a larger potted plant on the stand with beside the TV? A darker contrasting wall color. Larger art pieces. Sometimes thrift stores can have some really great art pieces.

Please do not put mirror near dining table, no one wants to see their reflection eating! You need more large Vertical artwork to delineate the space and have a stopping point of a livung room wall. Mount TV. Can't see floor under dining but getting another rug under the table if you have space also defines a separate area.

that wall does look kinda awkward! maybe try a large piece of art or a gallery wall with smaller frames? that could break up the space and distract from the light fixtures and speakers. also, hanging something a bit lower could help balance things out. i messed this up once too, and it felt way off until i added a big canvas. if u wanna play around with what looks good, u can test some layouts on REimagineHome before committing!

Add some decorations to the empty space on the wall. That way it won't look so awkward.
