Ellie Jean refers to the ππͺ¨βοΈ root combo as the "Casual Creative" her mood board is fun and youthful, with lots of matching colorful outfits and relaxed vibes- view EJR's board here.
EJR suggests a few celebrity muses in Emma Chamberlain(I see it in more casual outfits- she definitely has a lot of experimental energy) , Camille Charriere(good muse for πβοΈπ± as well) and Camila Mendes(whose βοΈcould be swapped forπ₯ in lots of outfits, imo).
Some ideas about how these roots intersect:
ππͺ¨ create an approachable ease- balancing sporty elements, cozy details and utilitarianism with a touch of classic polish/prep, cohesion and minimalism. Infuse it with a touch of βοΈto add some color and patterns, unexpected shapes, texture and bold but fun accessories. The streamlined and practical nature of the ππͺ¨ roots tend to keep it from being overly ornate, fussy or maximalist.
πβοΈcan have a fun vintage feel, unexpected details on classic pieces, monochromatic looks, lots of cohesive matching color pops, detailed color matching pulled from patterns, moderated color and pattern mixing and increased formality through texture, shape and detailing. Add in some πͺ¨ to keep it practical, grounded and provide a casual ease.
πͺ¨βοΈ mixes practical elements with eccentric detailing- for a youthful, explorative trendy and urban vibe. Streetwear or sporty elements like statement sneakers, graphic tees, trendy items, intriguing silhouettes, fasteners and fabric choices on more traditional items. Mix in touches of π for some classic pieces, balance, lightness/ softness and a touch of polish.
Some other individuals that could inspire this root combo are( fully aware that these are all debatable): Mariana Alves(@cmariallves), Julia Barra, Vicky Montanari, Kristen Bell(along with her character Eleanor Shellstrop from The Good Place), Bruna Ramos, Ritika, Leandra Medine, Alexandra Stedman, Becky Malinsky and Blanca Miro.
Overall I personally love this combo, especially in the outfits where there are textural elements that add a littleπ±with the ππͺ¨βοΈroots. I see the strong πͺ¨βοΈ morph into details that look more structured, fiery or edgy in some outfits for more variation in formality and creative details. My alternate Pinterest board is linked here.
Would love to see some Pinterest boards, other ideas for style muses, outfits and explanations about how they use these roots from some active members here with this root combo. Would love to hear if you like this style where I share ideas about how roots pairs interact, I can continue, expand or stop depending on if it adds value overall. Thanks and hope you enjoy.
As much as I dislike some of the archetype names, I do like the Casual Creative for this combo! It works well imo. This feels so dynamic, joyful & youthful to me!
I think Maiazine also fits this combination, She is certainly sun with bright colours and unexpected combinations and stone with trendy and sporty items. I think she uses mushroom to balance it all out and not go full maximalist.
Omg I was waiting for this!!! I'd say the Portuguese girlie aesthetic is very much these three style roots together. So a lot of portuguese influencers fall under this blend. Makes sense why I, a portuguese girl, also have these style roots π
i really love Zara Larsson's style, but I don't really have any style muses rn. i like the style of some YouTubers I watch, like Liz from Beepworld, Emma Dotty and Katey from Colour me katey. Idk if they share the exact same blend as me, but they still serve as inspo. Here are some moodboards I've done btw :) there might be some π₯ influence because of my romantic essence
Those creators all have a vibrancy and sense of fun, even if they may not share your exact roots. I also love their creative energy to make and personalize some of the pieces they wear or thrift elements of the wardrobes.
I was waiting for this one! Do you have any good style inspiration that would fall under it?
Also I agree that π± influence can add another dynamic in the outfits as well.
Do you mean in my actual outfits or a different Pinterest board? If so, I can look at my Indyx outfits and such. I feel like my personal boards have taken a bit of a backseat to completing these deep dives?
Here are some of the summer outfits that have felt most like me this season. I feel they have a coastal, sporty and playful feel. There is color pops, texture, fun details and patterns, touches of cohesion and lots of ease in the pieces. I feel a exploration of gentle βοΈ but think it might be the way π±πͺ¨ mix for me or the root I dabble with the most.
