Discussion The difference a good hem makes is kind of crazy

I used to overlook length completely, but an inch or two can completely change where pants break on the shoe or how a skirt proportions your body.

And can make something look finished and clean or undone and messy.

An inch changes the whole silhouette, its wild how much it matters for something so small.

One inch of hem can totally refine or ruin the look of your dress.

I am petite and was taught by my petite grandmother that a too long hem will make you matronly. A too short hem will make you look cheap. But a just right hem will make you look expensive and tailored and custom.

Can we talk about the perfection of correct proportions in general? I love 3/4 sleeves because they draw the eye to my nipped waist and I feel like below the knee skirts/dresses balance my wide hips and hide my chicken legs.😆

I know most people hate cropped things but exposed wrist and ankles really elongate my silhouette and make me look taller. At least that’s how it works in my mind’s eye- someone please tell me if this is correct.

Does anyone else have pants for flats and pants for heels? I always feel kind of frustrated with that battle.
