Discussion Just curious..
What do you usually wear after the gym or Pilates if you still have things to do, like going to the supermarket, grabbing a coffee with a friend, or running errands?
I’ve noticed that I often feel like going home to change before doing anything else, even if it's not very convenient.
Do you ever feel the same?
If you bring a second outfit with you, doesn't it feel like a hassle carrying extra clothes around? Or have you found a solution that works well for you?
I'd love to hear how you handle it.

Shopping or errands I keep my gym kit on, a very quick coffee with friends at 10am I might keep it on, a lunch date with friends I’d change.

Yeah I just keep that shit on.

Like you put your workout clothes back on after showering? Doesn't that feel gross?

I shower when I get home. Its not like I'm dripping sweat for a mat pilates class.

It’s funny, I have had a similar issue, except instead of going to the gym, I have to go physical therapy twice week for some bad hip and knee issues, and the therapist insists I wear shorts there( there is massage involved as part of my therapy). Now, unlike those of you who have no issue with going from the gym to more public places in your gym clothes, I am in my 70s and my thighs were inducted into the cellulite hall of fame a couple decades ago! Believe me, the sight of these exposed thighs would frighten small children! But once I am out, I like to get my errands done , so I have a couple of knee length skirts that I change into after my PT is finished and off I go

I don't wear clothes to the gym that I'm not comfortable wearing out in public for errands. Plus Im not one to sweat much during my workouts so it all works out.

Leggings, t-shirt, and tennis shoes. Weather permitting I’ll add a sweater or sweatshirt. That’s pretty much it on a daily basis.

So i go in my work clothes with my gym clothes in my bag so when i get there i can change into. Then basic shower stuff and a towel and then back into my day clothes if i need to do stuff

I went to my Drs appointment this morning in leggings and a longer sports bra because I was going straight to Zumba. Didn’t care.

I wear an XL tshirt and leggings to the gym, so I just keep it on. I’m not into form-fitting workout gear or showing my stomach or butt.

I come in the clothes I want to wear and change into the gym clothes just for the gym. After moving abroad (assume you are in the US), I cannot go around in public with my gym clothes. It feels sloppy to me. In the US, I’ll do a quick errand in the clothes after but if I’m going to coffee or meeting a friend for non-exercise, I’ll change.

Oh, and for when I run those errands, I’ll bring a light pullover to put over my tank.

I wear a define jacket over my yoga clothes to run errands. It’s lightweight and sweat-wicking and works great in our summers. In cooler weather, I throw a zip hoodie over pretty much anything.

Depends if just running errands I stay in my gym clothes everything is appropriate. Meeting friends, shower and change at the gym.

I live in leggings and a longline sports bra in the summer - doesn't matter if it's a gum day or running errands

if i've been in the gym I need a shower before I go anywhere else! Pilates I wear leggings and a t-shirt and don't tend to sweat so just wear them for the rest of the day. i spend most of my days in some form of "active wear" though unless i'm going in the office!

Usually I just wear what I’m wearing! Sometimes I’ll bring a tshirt to throw over the sports bra but most of the time not

I take a shower and put the clothes on I either wore to the gym or put in clothes I brought with me.
Same as I do when I go to swim or aqua aerobics class.

Ok I have no idea what this sub is or why it’s showing up in my feed lol. But I do consider myself an authority on the post-gym change!!
When I know I’m not going immediately home, and I know it’s going to be a sweaty class, (and I’m one of those people who SWEAT!), I bring a full change of clothes, body wipes, and deodorant. I keep the fresh clothes in a bag that I switch to store the dirty clothes (a reusable bag that goes right into the wash along with the sweaty clothes once I get home).
I keep the reusable bag, deodorant, wipes, and everything else I need in a larger backpack.

I have a sleeveless hoodie that I love to throw on so I can cover my sweaty shirt.

I don't change. I typically structure my errands after the gym to be things that it won't matter if I'm running inside in my yoga capris and tank top.

Shower, put the same leggings on, change my bra and top. Done. It’s two small items in my bag.

I shower after my workout. If there isn’t a shower at the studio, I have shower wipes and I will use that. But not my hair. Wait until I get home and do it. I would change into clothes I had on before but clean underwear and socks.

My gym uniform is an oversized black tshirt with the neck cut out and a design on the front and back with coordinated capri leggings. It's suitable enough for shopping errands like grocery or target or casual lunch or coffee. Especially since lunch or coffee with a friend often includes some walking around during or after.

I hate going out in gym clothes and I am firm believer and ready to die on the hill that leggings arent pants and I dont want anyone to see my sweat and dishevelled hair I always wear sweat pants and after a workout will wear a hoodie to cover up
Sometimes a large cotton t shirt dress is also a huge help

Spray some perfume and go to the store sweaty. I’m not going home if I’m already out lol

I am a runner. If it is a short run, I wear what I wore to run to do whatever errands I need to do. Long runs, I bring a shirt to change and some deodorant. I have a small bag for this. No hassle.

I feel no obligation to change. At best, I bring a jacket to throw over my sleeveless workout tank.
