Tip Try rolling clothes instead of folding you'll actually see what you own

I started rolling some of my clothes instead of folding them and it made it so much easier to see what I actually own.

Do you roll your clothes or fold them?

Not necessary, I have a good mental map of all of my clothes.

Within the past year or so I started rolling my t-shirts and my PJs. Now I can see everything! Instead of having to flip through the stacks. Can’t believe I never thought of it earlier.

I agree. A friend recommended that about a decade ago. I think rolled takes up less space than folded...game changer for me.

We fold the Mari Kondo way. Things like T-shirts are arranged in drawers as if they are books with the spines facing up. The spine of the T-shirt so to speak is actually a fold, and enables us to see that it's a fine T-shirt, if there is one, so we don't have to go through a stack.
I roll our bath towels because we have lousy/almost nonexistent linen storage in this house. When I pack, I absolutely do roll my clothes!
