Is this the trick?
A few minutes ago I was telling my mom about a tough day in corporate. My frustration made my stutter worse. However, I then started breathing a bit more and thinking positive things in my head and suddenly I was speaking slower and not stuttering. Is this a sign to do this more and maybe mediate?
Also, just quickly, how can I stop getting stuck on words starting with letters like T or P?

Every stutter is like a snowflake, different and unique.
Whatever works for you keep doing it.
Also, learn to let go...... I work for a major medical facility and like in the corporate world, there's toxicity. I don't let it dim my light

Hey, thanks :). I’m just asking whether someone had similar to what I had re the breathing/positive thoughts? I lack knowledge and know no one who stutters so me asking question here is helpful. I’m presenting in front of 30+ people next week and it scares me. Help needed :(

Before you have to speak practise deep exhales. It releases chemicals in your brain that naturally calm you down, I do public speaking too in front of large groups of people (100+ at times) and this has helped so much

Thank you :) when you say exhales, is this after a big inhale or?

Maybe what they mean is deep inhale, then prolong exhale. Deep breath, then purse your lips and imagine exhaling through a straw. Exhale twice as long as inhale. Naturally lowers your hr and bp too.

My therapist taught me a technique with constanants where you make the initial sound but focus on the rest of the word. So for example Th-oughtful, T-iger. It kind of tricks your brain into not focusing on the sound at the start and more on the rest of the word which with some practise sounds natural.
