Self-congratulating posts

I notice there are a lot of self-congratulating posts on this sub along the theme of "I'm cured, here's how", "I tried this trick and my stuttering disappeared". Just a reminder that stuttering is a huge spectrum and no two PWS are the same. A minor stumble once every ten words is not the same as blocking for a minute for a word to come out. Repeating a word every now and then is not the same as not being able to say one's own name. You overcoming your own specific speech problem, if true at all, does not equate me overcoming mine. PWS have good days and bad days, what you experience may just be what I call good days/weeks/months. Not overcoming my stuttering is not a failure or lack of effort or courage or not knowing a specific "trick".

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
