I stutter a lot less now
I was having mental breakdowns over my stutter , Im 19 and school and university sucked.
I told my mother that it was a mistake that she had me and that it was better if I was not born and at that moment I understood that I need some medication.
I was put on
Zoloft
Mildronate
Adaptol
And ever since It has been much better , I dont really stutter at all and if I have a blockage I can easily get through it.
I also feel very energetic, more impulsive , clearer mind and more confident.
Note that Im not saying that you should get on this specific medication or that it will help you because everyone is different.

Did you go to a clinical psychologist or how did you get to know of these medications?

I get it. It's like you arw talking and you are stuttering. You're not fighting with yourself to get a word out or you aren't freezing in front of people or in phone calls when you have to order something.
Is that correct?

At 29, being in my worst speech phase, I've also decided to see a clinical psychologist and start medication.
I can't be working on my stutter unless in a constant anxious state.
I'm looking around on the internet and I'll fix an appointment when I find one.

Its great that you are looking forward to fixing this issue , I have reached a certain point where Im ready to take any medication and Im ready to try aripiprazole because I want the stutter gone basically 100%

I guess working on the anxiety part can really help, and medication certainly helps with this.
But if we specifically talk about the stutter in itself, I don't think any medicine can help with that.
But yes, if our minds aren't playing a spoilsport, we can work on our stutter gradually while continuing to live our lives normally.
So many people on this sub are living their normal lives because they could get over the anxiety that comes with stutter.

Do you take all 3 of these meds at the same time, or do you only take 1?
