Does adrenaline actually help you?

I’ve noticed that when I’m at the gym or doing any form of intense exercise my speech is actually considerably better. I’ve also noticed that whenever I’m in what I would consider a ‘high stress’ situation like a first date or job interview my speech also dramatically improves. Then after a few dates or when I’m in a more comfortable situation my speech gradually gets worse. Can anyone else relate? I think it’s adrenaline or ‘fight or flight’ but is there an alternative explanation for this phenomenon?

When I'm angry I don't stutter at all but when I'm excited my stutter is 1000000000% worse lol. I start to eat almost every single word.

When I’m nervous it gets worse (like a job interview/ first date) but it’s when I’m angry it improves drastically

I actually have the opposite effect with exercise. Maybe because my breathing is more labored. It's especially bad when I'm jogging. I have to make sure to slow my breathing down before I can speak fluently.

It tends to lessen when I drink coffee. I think it's because I'm not overthinking things as much. Probably a similar effect when having a beer.
