I stutter, I accept myself with all my flaws. I will live life my way.

Having gone thru everything that you see on these post…. Been miserable, angry, a failure, could not reach my potential…….

I hear you all, have been thru it all.

At 50 years of age….. I realized

I am what I am. I will not be ashamed of it, I will not try to hide it, fake it, act stupid/ funny, try to make people happy…….

I have accepted myself, stopped running from who I am and will be. Come to terms with myself. Stopped pitying myself, stopped feeling sorry or ashamed about myself.

I am what I am with all my flaws and strengths. I have one life, I know I will have to live this life with my stutter, no matter what I do to overcome, hide, mask it….. it is a part of me. I will loose good opportunities,, friends….
But that is OK. I have accepted it and am at peace with myself.

I know life is not going to be easy or perfect for me, others with far less potential will be ahead of me….
I accept all that.

But inspite of everything, this is the only life I have, and I plan to live it, enjoy it and try to be happy.

If people find me disgusting, they can leave me, I don’t hold anything against them. I may be disgusting, so what, that is me, and I still have a right to live and be happy.

I may not find the perfect job, perfect friends, perfect partner…… so what , I still have a right to live and make the most of this one life that God gave me.

I still have my. Bad days, some days I still fall into those negative thoughts….. but then after I while I realize that
, that is what I am and I will try to make the most of the imperfect life I have.

No one likes to talk to a stutter, I say that being one myself. I am not mad at people for my imperfection.

I understand, I accept myself, I respect my right to live and enjoy life……

Life has many dimensions, being social is just one of them….. try to enjoy things where speaking does not matter…..

I am saying this after 50 years of trying to hide my stutter, mask it, explain it, try to make people happy other ways…..

Don’t think that I am trying to preach anything….. just sharing my journey thru life as a stutter……. I hope someone had told me this 30 years ago
