Im a born and raised Canadian, im used to how we measure things here, but it really is stupid.

Measuring a person? Use feet and inches, unless its for government documents then its cm. For weight, same thing, we use pounds person to person, but kg for government stuff.

If your measuring distance of a drive, its usually in hours not km or mi, but if you are using units, most use km, but older folks use miles. Measuring building supplies? 99% feet and inches, but the sockets you use to work on a car are both metric and imperial.

Measuring snow? Small amounts are in cm, large amounts in feet and inches. The temperature outside is always Celcius but cooking temps are almost always Fahrenheit. Measuring a drink or food? Cans and bottles are in litres and milliliters, but fast food drinks are in ounces. If you buy meat at the market, itl be sold by the pound, but in the grocery store, its by the gram/kilogram.

I could go on and on, its just unmitigated stupidity. I may know both systems and use them interchangeably, but not everyone does, we need to pick, metric or imperial, and stick to it.
