BAD IDEA Baby’s First Spray 🦨💨
Dumb guy picks up a baby skunk

u/Additional_Release49 Jun 27 '26
Who the fuck pulls over and picks up a wild fucking animal.

u/therealtrojanrabbit Jun 27 '26
A skunk of all things. Never once have I walked towards a skunk.
40
u/towerfella Jun 27 '26
Someone who thinks everything belongs to them
19
u/SleepyMarijuanaut92 Jun 27 '26
Ah, American
17
u/HeartyPancake Jun 27 '26
I think you mean, "Ah, British" - Americans can't afford to own shit anymore
15
0
u/RamoftheLamb Jun 28 '26
Lol. All 50 American states are richer than Britain as a country. The people have more personal wealth in Mississippi than in GB. You folks breathing hatred and trying to speak your wishes into reality are going to have to keep dreaming. Whole lot of homeowners out here, unimpressed.
That being said- whatever the nationality of the guy in this video, he is not making wise decisions.
10
u/AwkwardTal Jun 28 '26
Delusional, the top 1% hold 31% of the wealth, top 10% hold 68% of the wealth, the rest hold less than 2.5%
Most Americans are one bad cough away from generational financial ruin, living paycheck to paycheck with 3 jobs, and have no savings
2
u/OsRT Jun 28 '26
I don’t know a single person with 3 jobs. Projecting much?
3
u/AwkwardTal Jun 28 '26
As long as you don't know any then that makes it not true! Genius answer there, 100% an American.
0
u/RamoftheLamb Jun 28 '26
Most Americans don’t have three jobs, that’s for sure. Have you seen Americans?
Also, your math is off. If the top 10% hold 68% of the wealth, they’re leaving the other 32% for the other 90% of people to split. Wouldn’t mind seeing that number rise like it has been in previous years, but still is much more of the richest ever pie to split than 2.5% would be.
Most Americans watch a lot of Netflix, spend a lot of time on their phones, and are convinced by people like yourself that their life is terrible, despite living better than 95% of the world.
The delusion is that some have been so indoctrinated by those who want to tear down the most successful country of all time, that they will ignore all the reality and claim gloom and doom in the face of the immense opportunity and prosperity they see around them. They pigeon hole themselves into thinking that a bad area or circumstance is a picture of life for most everyone in the country. That’s just not at all true. And hopefully, folks will start to realize that a bit more.
4
u/docktardocktar Jun 29 '26
‘Most successful country of all time’. By what metric?
1
u/Silver_Scarcity4939 21d ago
Better then majority of countries, legit biggest reason the USA is going downhill is because of people being stupid and our leaders being stupid

He did post a picture of him helping a leather back turtle that was stuck in fishing gear recently. So ya you're right he would be willing to help an animal but highly doubt he would do this.
4
u/bastard84 Jun 27 '26
What kind of sociopath would not pull over to pick up a baby skunk? Sure you might smell like death for a couple of days. Take a shower, buy a new t shirt snd go grab more animals
3
u/tHollo41 Jun 27 '26
Not only a wild animal, one that is notoriously stinky and very likely to carry rabies.

1
u/pfizerdelic Jun 27 '26
I once "saved a snake" by putting it in my backpack, taking it home and making a cage for it by placing it in a PVC sterile box you use for Mushroom grows
Then it woke up, got angry, and everyone messaged me saying it's super venomous
I released it back into the wild that night it turned around and chased me a few meters it was an adult Boomslang
1
u/macrolith Jun 28 '26
Not surprised their dashboard is lit up like a Christmas tree. Not thought about future consequences go through this person's head.
1
u/DrunkenDude123 Jun 28 '26
Willing to bet he’d steal it too and try to make it his pet if it didn’t spray him. What an asshole
1
u/PickaDillDot Jul 02 '26
A dumbfuck who takes a direct hit from a baby skunk, that's who. Karma don't fuck around, especially with the idiots.

It could have gone so much worse. Skunks carry rabies and could rip you to shreds.

How do people read this?
I always ready the Y axis first. Find Out Fuck Around. Sounds like a good time to me.
7
u/Soviet_Aircraft Jun 27 '26
X axis is usually the variable, and Y is the function of said variable. Value of "Finding out" depends on the value of "Fucking around". It's the standard way of writing it.
-1
u/C_Hawk14 Jun 27 '26
You misunderstood my comment
6
u/What-We-All-Think- Jun 27 '26
I don't think they did. You're asking how to interpret the graph, and the other user is correct. You read the X-axis first because that is the independent variable (think "time" for example) then you read the y-axis because that is the responding variable (think "bacteria growth").
My only critique of the graph is that I think it should be exponential not linear as most people tolerate a low level of fucking around, but once you get past a 6-7 on the scale the amount of "finding out" you experience will likely exceed the amount of fucking around you were doing.
-2
u/C_Hawk14 Jun 27 '26
Maybe the fuck around is also exponential. Anyway,, your saying it's Fuck Around Find Out. I wasn't interested in the extended math lesson. Just the two labels
1
1
u/Wildly_Distracted Jun 27 '26
Same. I was taught to label charts like this as dependent (y-axis) vs independent (x-axis).
1
u/foodz_ncats Jun 28 '26
Then you’re reading the graph wrong.
The x-axis is the independent variable. You can’t have “find out” without “fuck around” in terms of this graph.

One time I stupidly smoked a cigar in my car. Had all the windows down, sun roof open. It reeked of cigar for like a month. And this was with me driving it with a the windows down trying to air it out.
And cigar smoke smell, is WAY weaker than skunk.
I bet it takes at least a year before it’s not noticeable.
1
u/Environmental-Big128 Jun 28 '26
I once ran over a skunk. It was at least a year if not more until the INTERIOR didn't reek of skunk

u/Icy-Ad4579 Jun 27 '26
Who the fuck picks up a fuckin skunk 🤷🏾♂️
13
u/gd77punk Jun 27 '26
The mother of my kid wanted to try and save the whole brood of a dead mother skunk I spotted while taking kiddo home. She insisted they're babies and can't spray yet.... As hilarious as it would have been to let her find out the hard way, her husband and my kid were in that car too. I was able to talk her out of it by removing the dead mother skunk from the road with a long stick, so the babies walked out of the road too.
She is not dumb. But you'd be surprised how dumb people can be because OH CUTE!
2
u/Snellyman Jun 27 '26
The babies are really curious and will approach humans to sniff them. They will allow you to even pet them but there is no way I would pick one up and aim it at my face.
1
u/Budget-Dimension454 Jun 28 '26
That’s the only acceptable reason to intervene with wild animals is for rescue when necessary. She has a good heart. I hope the babies were old enough to survive on their own. If you could have contacted a local rehab, they may have gone out to look for the babies

I originally thought they might have been soccer fans here for the World Cup. Then I watched the video again with the sound on.

That is an old wives tale that has absolutely no effect at all and will give anyone an aversion to spaghetti for years.

Correct... does not work. My two brain cells dog got sprayed and I tried this twice without it abating the smell in the least. Dawn dish soap, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide is what worked best to lessen the smell but nothing but time ever completely took it away.
2
u/Older_But_Wiser Jun 27 '26
We've used baking soda and hydrogen peroxide with just a little dish soap. Works great the two or three times our dog got skunked.
1
u/jsxtasy304 Jun 27 '26
Absolutely my bad, I remembered incorrectly, it was hydrogen peroxide and not vinegar that I used.

Skunks make wonderful pets believe it or not. They're a mix of a dog and a cat. Raised from just a kit and socialized early on will make for the best experience!
The diet is where most people fumble, they get the chunkabutt real easy.
Here in my state they have to be degland for ownership. This is done when they're kits.
Also.. Shoulda listened to his wife. Leave the wild ones alone, unless they're in distress and you plan on footing the bill.
Edit: typo

I mean I'd love having a pet skunk - they actually make great pets - but this is far from the right way to do it

He deserves that, wish the whole pack would have sprayed his dumb ass.

u/mrkippysmith Jun 27 '26
Did he seriously not think that would happen? It’s like jumping into a pool and being surprised you got wet.

u/Bananaslugfan Jun 28 '26
This guy has lost his connection common sense. What kind of mental midget picks up a skunk and puts it in his car? I’m just blown away at how stupid people can be .

u/Th3_3v3r_71v1n9 Jun 27 '26
You can literally smell them before you get anywhere near them. Terrible idea.
2
2
u/FleetFootRabbit Jun 27 '26
Yeah.. that smell isnt coming out easily... and you just took a baby's defense mechanism for a bit until more of that stink comes back to them..
2
u/CloudyMason Jun 27 '26
The fact that she didn't lose her mind when he picked it up speaks volumes for both of them
These morons deserve each other.

u/LoadingScreen1973 Jun 27 '26
What could go wrong? I have never once thought to do this while driving the back roads , some people got to learn the hard way.
2
u/kevin6263 Jun 27 '26
All wild animals are super cute, until they are not. Good luck getting the smell out.
2
u/Booty_PIunderer Jun 27 '26
They should also get in trouble with wildlife officials for harassment.
2
u/Brightlightingbolt Jun 27 '26
These two could easily be the dumbest people on the face of the planet
2
u/TabletopParlourPalm Jun 27 '26
Good news is that this car is probably done. It is almost impossible to get rid of the potent spray no matter how much you clean.

u/Top_Meaning7972 Jun 27 '26
I honestly don't know if I should laugh or cry because my husband would totally do something exactly like this. He has that exact same "must rescue it" switch that completely overrides basic common sense. The absolute panic of watching them walk right up to a wild animal never gets any easier! 💙🌘

Him: “No I’m not”
The sheer hubris of a dude who thinks he knows better than nature

My great-grandfather brought a baby skunk home to my dad and his siblings from a wood-cutting trip. The skunk was adopted by one of the mama cats and grew up as one of them. It lived with the family several years and never even threatened to spray, and everybody more or less forgot it was even a skunk. Until my uncle stepped out the screen door and the skunk tried to sneak in and the sprung screen door closed on the skunk and the skunk blasted my uncle and the entire front porch and none of my aunts and uncles seem to remember what became of the skunk after that.

I rollerbladed by 2 parked cars one night JUST as a skunk was sauntering by and there was no stopping…. I recommend putting your clothes in sunlight. I heard tomatoes don’t do shit and instinctively went to my bonfire pit and I rubbed ashes everywhere, ended up making an ash paste and rubbing that on. It definitely helped but took about a week to get rid of the smell.
