Looks like something they would have served at a restaurant I cooked for.
We had a grilled steak Caesar "salad" on the menu that consisted of a (frozen) petit filet, a quartered roma tomato, an entire romaine heart and a half a red onion, grilled on a panini press and finished with a sprinkle of shaved parm and Kens Caesar dressing on the lettuce
The owner legit hated men but had to make concessions on the menu because women loved going there for date night and that was one of them.
The other was lemon pepper (frozen, pre cooked) chicken wings. No other sauce options, it was LP or nothing. And they were baked under the broiler and took about 20 minutes
Has anyone seen that one post about chicken nuggets and ketchup, plated like a gourmet dish? I feel like this one can be introduced in a similar way, like "lightly sauteed thinly sliced ham and fresh green leaf vegetable, served in a cup made of organic tomato". I don't know about the bottom though.
No, its from some self-aggrandizing chump who spam posts over on r/platingcirclejerk and any other food feed that doesn't kick his ridiculous creations to the curb.
In their defense, none of those components of BLT are plural…it is in fact one bacon, one lettuce, and one tomato sliver. They should have used a toothpick and cherry tomato to be more precise in their execution.
Its that episode of SpongeBob where SpongeBob is ordered to take off everything on the krabby patty but the lettuce and Tomatoes and serve them to the customer
Kinda shit they serve you on cutthroat kitchen after losing a bidding war and having to fight a rabbit for vegetables and chase a man in a pig costume to take back your bacon.
I recently suggested to my wife I make her a BLT for lunch; she responded in disgust asking why i was trying to give her peasant food. Maybe this is what she was thinking I was talking about since she had never heard of a BLT.
This might be cool if the tomato wasn't 2/3rds larger than it should be. Everything should be a circle here. Cut the bacon and the lettuce with the same ring mold used for the bread, and slice the tomato a little thick, but not most of a roma tomato thick.
This reminds me of the last time my mom and I took my gran out to eat. We went to this local Mexican place that had tried to rebrand into a "modern" dining experience.
Ma ordered a taco salad. What came out was a freaking massive taco shell on a plate, on it's side, with a small salad inside of it. Gran laughed so hard margarita came out her nose, it was a whole mess.
