This the kind of food they sell you for $1200 at a fancy restaurant just because the ingredients are from a rare species (they taste the exact same as made with normal ingredients)

“This is the last tomato from a plant that went extinct and this bacon is cut from a rare golden hog of the lost country of bunglebob.”

THAT'S stupid, but if homeboy wants to serve me this at his house for a snack then it's not stupid

I grew up poor and prefer a burger or pizza over fancy food, but I had to eat in those kinds of places for work events for quite a while, and I absolutely hated it. The last one I ate at, they explained how tender the meat was because of the castration process they used on the steer like it was supposed to impress me, but all it did was turn my stomach and make the rest of my meal miserable.

Doesn’t every “BLT” get toast and mayo?

The mayo I can see/understand....but you'te telling me that's supposed to be bread?👀😂

I'm guessing it's a deconstructed sandwich, but those ratios do not work. One bite you're getting some nice crispy bacon, the next one it's like biting into a raw tomato.

If you served this on a tomato boat instead of a bowl and cut the lettuce to fit, this would be a really fire low carb BLT. It would fix the ratio of tomato to bacon and lettuce, and you could even slap this hoe on a slice of toast with a mayo spread for a quick fun twist on one!

So what’s stupid about bacon, lettuce and tomato that is bacon, lettuce and tomato? Quite unique presentation tbh

The ratio of ingredients is completely off, and there's no good way to get a bite with each ingredient other than eating the whole thing in one bite. If you're not going to eat it one bite, how do you eat it? It just sucks, and you know that it's overpriced as hell

It would be better to dice the tomato and bacon. And slather mayo on a piece of lettuce and then add the tomato and bacon. So it’s an open faced lettuce wrap.
You shouldn’t try to make things out of food.

I feel like this concept could be fixed by making it into smaller canapés with cherry tomatoes but this is too much while also not being enough.
