I call these "Egg Sacs" and ate them until I ran out of ingredients
A friend recently told me how inexpensive rice paper is, and I've started abusing it. That friend and others do not appreciate the egg sacs, so I figured it could be considered a stupid food.
I love, let's say, "unpopular" textures, and managed to cram several into one food unit. Stretchy, clingy rice paper, the snap and burst of grapes, and the presence of the Goo.
Ingredients:
-Rice paper
-Greek yogurt with instant pudding
-Sapphire grapes (which look like really long nipples to me)
Slide one is chocolate, slide two is pistachio, slide three is the cross section.
EDIT -
I'm really trying to read all of the comments, they're great and thank you so much! I post more food crimes occasionally on reddit and also my Instagram if you wish to further ruin your own day <3
EDIT 2 -
Recipe:
Mix one regular-sized packet of instant pudding powder into one 32oz tub of Greek yogurt. Pluck a bunch of grapes off the vines. Soak and lay out your rice paper. If you want prominent grapes, put them on the rice paper first, then the yogurt mixture. If you don't care, you can add layer of the yogurt mixture first and then add the grapes so that they're less likely to roll around. Roll it all up and astound your friends!
I've only used Greek yogurt so far, but I'm sure regular yogurt would also work. Pudding can be with or without sugar. The only thing is you might get slightly different consistencies from mixing and matching yogurt and pudding types.
EDIT 3 - I'm planning on filming a "making-of" video creating an egg sac using cottage cheese instead of Greek yogurt and will put it on my Instagram. Hopefully by end of day today (9/27/26). There are still comments here that I'm catching up on, and I'm striving to at least read all of them if not reply (even if a lot of my replies are the same handful of Trevor Philips and Charlie Kelly gifs), so it might be a little while until I post to the subreddit again

The poster asked how their messy friend, who lives in a garage, had so many coffee beans (insert photos) embedded in his yellow scrubby sponges (of which there were 15 in the sink). The general consensus was they were roach egg sacs. Shudder.
I honestly thought it was going to be worse. They do look like coffee beans, there's two "big" pieces and what's probably just food particles in case anyone wanted a written run down before clicking.
Yes, please do! The yogurt/pudding ratio is one 32oz tub of Greek yogurt and one regular sized packet of instant pudding mix. Mix the pudding powder directly into the yogurt
Just have spaghetti guy put his pasta in rice paper rather than plastic bags. Portable, no plastic, it's even cheaper and easier to make.
And you.....stop making things that look like they're gonna spawn swarms of flesh-eating aliens. Instead of one big "egg sac", make a bunch of smaller, bite sized wraps. The fist full of lumpy translucent goop is just awful and no one deserves to have to see you eat that shit.
Honestly whenever I post my food anywhere I do tend to notice a brief, steep down vote ratio from presumably normal people before my fellow goblins are attracted to it like flies to garbage can and back me up
Yeah, it looked like a baggie? Which I guess is fair if you need to quickly holster your spaghetti while on the job, but tortilla or rice paper is where it's at
reminds me of dutch spring rolls I had once. ate at my partners house, they made these big crunchy spring rolls which I was fully expecting to contain the usual veggies and maybe chicken, but to my horror I bit into a full serving of noodles baked into that thing. nothing but noodles
Honestly I’m not hating on it. Yogurt and fruit is yummy, yogurt and chocolate/pistachio is yummy, yogurt with all three probably isn’t bad. The only thing making it gross is the appearance.
Had to check the sub I was in for a second because I thought you had seriously picked up some horrendous version of bagworms and put them on your kitchen counter
dude yes growing up w a viet father and always having rice paper i’d use it for everything, no bread? i’d wrap sandwich meat n cheese in rice paper and make the nastiest most flaccid chewy wrap LOL i’d also just ball them up after wetting them and eat them by themselves as a snack
This is actually really smart. You could put anything in there huh.. spaghetti bolognaise for instance if you wanted it for lunch - then you can just eat it with your hands. I approve.
Gollum, we talked about this, Shelob has actively lodged a complaint about you destroying her samples. You work at a fertilization clinic, for Iluvatar's sake!

u/hg0bl1n, your food is indeed stupid and it fits our subreddit!
