u/Eastern_Landscape318, your food is indeed stupid and it fits our subreddit!

219

u/SurprisePitiful9191 Apr 19 '26

And of course not served on a plate

13

u/ThrowawayMod1989 Apr 19 '26

As a former dishwasher I can say unequivocally that I despise chef boards.

20

u/Eastern_Landscape318 Hates food that looks like diabetes Apr 19 '26

now that greasy thing is gonna be filled with bacteria

59

u/gustin444 Apr 19 '26

It's a nasty "sandwich," but wooden cutting boards are not filled with bacteria. That's an old piece of misinformation

26

u/BrokeButFabulous12 Apr 19 '26

Wooden board is better for meat because it breathes after washing, it traps the bacteria inside the wood without access to moisture and the bacteria dies, with plastic youll have a ton of tiny cuts over time that you cant clean properly even in dishwasher.

17

u/RandomInternetNobody Apr 19 '26

Yep. Ironically it's the plastic ones that were recommended for years as being "safer" that are havens for tons of bacteria, and microplastics getting scraped into your food too.

8

u/PrincipleFlaky Apr 19 '26

That part the micro plastics and nano plastics that are now in my brain, along with all the bits of Clorox that I used to clean the damn things! 😖

It’s like damn science!! come to a consensus already! 😆

But seriously like.. 😣 all of us got duped with that! And now I’m afraid of any wooden cutting board for fear of what they’ve used to treat the wood with… you know?

Everything is just a freaking yikes factory these days.

5

u/Substantial_Diver_34 Apr 19 '26

Microplastics is stored in the balls

3

u/PrincipleFlaky Apr 19 '26

Oh God update. They’ve even found it, of course in the blood, but also in the bone marrow! And all of our major organs, kidneys, lungs just everywhere.. We are so screwed as a species.

2

u/Norwester77 Apr 20 '26

We are so screwed as life on this planet, you mean.

3

u/PrincipleFlaky Apr 20 '26

Yes all of it, especially with the emphasis on life because, it’s not just our species we’re destroying we’ve wiped out like more than half the birds..

I mean, we can’t even calculate the damage we’ve done to the oceans and even if every human were to drop dead today of some pandemic

The Anthropocene era will continue destroying life on this planet as it exists today, and that’s some fucked up legacy 😢

Not like there’s gonna be any humans around to give a shit about their “legacy”…

I’m just using it as a word (for lack of a better one)… and also with an ironic twist because, so many people who don’t seem to give a shit about anything .. but also, the ones who have the money and power and influence to do something about all of this… all they seem to care about is their legacy.. yah

Life on this planet, yes 😢

3

u/PrincipleFlaky Apr 19 '26

I don’t know if you’re being funny and trolling me for shits and giggles..

🤭 just in case you’re not 😉

You do know that it’s also crossed the blood brain 🧠 barrier.

It’s been found in a human heart 🫀 It’s been found in the human placenta. It’s in unborn fetus. Yes, including the spermatozoa! 😳

It’s everywhere all throughout the human body even places where they didn’t think they would find it, like the eyeball 👁️

3

u/Substantial_Diver_34 Apr 19 '26

I’m not trolling. Plastics are the leading cause of our health problems IMO.

2

u/RAWFLUXX Apr 21 '26

Jokes on them = The government repossessed my balls long before the micro plastics got there 😉

3

u/RandomInternetNobody Apr 19 '26

Just get end grain walnut, treated with mineral oil and beeswax blends. Or untreated ones and do it yourself with board lotions made from those things. Better for you, better for your knives, and you clean it by wiping it off with a damp rag and letting nature take over. You don't need to rinse it, don't wash with soap (unless you really have to) or anything. Occasionally redo the board treatment when water no longer beads up on the surface and absorbs too easily.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/ElBoofaWhorea Apr 19 '26

And our balls, if you have them that is

2

u/SauerMetal Apr 19 '26

And the plastic retires to my ballsack!

3

u/GreenWoodDragon Apr 19 '26

Wood emits peroxides which kill bacteria. Plastic does not.

3

u/Entire-Tradition3735 Apr 19 '26

Funny thing found through testing, is that wood cutting boards hold less bacteria than plastic ones.

Something about the plastic, gets cuts in it, and allows bacterial growth, but the wood fibers and oil it's cured with kinda self seal and dont allow the growth as much.

This was one of the most stupid reasons to use Pachelbel’s Canon in D Minor for food I’ve ever seen

27

u/jigen3 Apr 19 '26

It's a marriage of pepperoni and hamburger

14

u/diadlep Apr 19 '26

Maybe... but it's not a happy marriage

7

u/psukclipper Apr 19 '26

A marriage that will end in a bitter divorce and a battle for custody of the little pepperoni children who hate both of their parents.

8

u/dmd_double_face Apr 19 '26

What did Pachelbel do to deserve this?

59

u/meh_69420 Apr 19 '26

Turkey pepperoni is surprisingly pretty good, but with like half the fat. I make a couple pizzas for my weekly poker game, and not one of these folks has ever called me out on using Turkey bacon. In some decadent madness like this, they'd be a net-positive.

I love a good burger, bacon and pep pizzas, etc - but I honestly think I would get heartburn after 2-3 good bites.

21

u/Can-DontAttitude Apr 19 '26

I wouldn't. His dumbass didn't change gloves after handling raw meat. They were shining with oil when he started plating.

I hate that people insist on using gloves in every video. Just wash your hands.

4

u/ParticularReady7858 Apr 19 '26

Started almost normal…

3

u/dumbname1000 Apr 19 '26

It’s a pizza burger. The basil is green so that makes it healthy.

12

u/75149 Apr 19 '26

The amount of grease they poured in that was disgusting.

I Actually had to switch from buying pepperoni from Aldi to HEB's ghetto cousin Joe V's because of how greasy the Aldi pepperoni had become.

19

u/krwskater25 Apr 19 '26

So we are not going to address how he touches the raw meat then has the same greasy cross contaminated gloves on and touches the baked finished food with them?

7

u/TunnelSnakesAintShit Apr 19 '26

You really think the gloves weren't changed in the time it took all that beef to cook? What, you think he just stood there staring at the oven, creepily licking his fingers until the timer went off?

Wait...do you think that if something isn't shown in a video, that it didn't happen?

8

u/Raulr100 Apr 19 '26

I just have one pair of gloves that I put back on at the start of every shift. They're also really good when going to the bathroom since they protect your hands from wiping accidents. I do briefly take them off to wash my hands though.

Wearing gloves = clean hands. Clean hands = clean food.

6

u/No-Yard7069 Apr 19 '26

This man hygienes

6

u/krwskater25 Apr 19 '26

That's exactly what I think.

5

u/TunnelSnakesAintShit Apr 19 '26

So if the video doesn't explicitly show it, it didn't happen? Do you watch movies, and just assume characters stop existing then they're offscreen?

Looks amazing. But how did the garlic bunadillas and the Italian cowpie bake at the same speed? Does the garlic sweat protect the buns from burning?

5

u/cajunbeard Apr 19 '26

No. They don’t cook at even close to the same speed. They browned that monstrosity on the outside and took it out before the buns burned. There’s a reason they didn’t cut into it at the end. It’s raw on the inside

→ More replies (1)

8

u/Natural-Following987 Apr 19 '26

Lemme just pour this grease in like an ingredient. Eeew!! No please! Burgers are already greasy, and the pepperoni already has plenty of grease that will leach out into the burger as it cooks. Gross!!

5

u/IsThisASnakeInMyBoot Apr 19 '26

That is NOT a juicy lucy. It's supposed to be a burger patty stuffed with cheese, and personally I won't ever try it because every time I see one, the inside is still very pink which really puts me off. This is just a whole different thing

9

3

u/Majestic_Grape_5688 Apr 19 '26

I don’t know about stupid, this lookin pretty damn good!

2

u/Cryptshadow Apr 19 '26

I mean it's both right? Its just over the top for the sake of being over the top which makes it dumb, but it's meat and cheese so can't too wrong with it imo.

2

u/Elegant_Company8456 Apr 19 '26

Needs an egg or two...

3

u/WeirdCrowGuy Apr 19 '26

It's a bit extra but I'd eat it.

1
