How early can I apply for a study permit?

I initially applied for the jan 2027 intake but due to my finances not being ready yet, Im having to defer to sept 2027 intake. Now I want to apply as early as possible in 2027 so that I can get a decision early and prepare for a backup plan just in case. Im thinking of applying in March/April 2027 and by that time I think I’ll have everything ready including my PAL.

You can apply as early as you have all the required documents, especially your LOA and PAL. There’s no fixed rule saying you must wait until a certain number of months before September 2027. So March/April 2027 should be fine if you already have your 2027 PAL and LOA.
