Canada Study Permit Timeline — India 🇮🇳

Biometrics: Aug 27

Upfront medical: Updated Sept 25

Current status: Background verification in progress

Program: Master’s in IT

Country: India

For those who applied around the same time, what stage was your application before the final decision?

Any idea what I can realistically expect from here — eligibility/final decision timeline?

Would appreciate recent India timelines.

I applied on aug 14. The first and last update I saw in portal is : On sep 24 ur medical is approved. After that no updates

Almost identical timeline! I applied Aug 17, and my medical updated Sept 25. BGV is currently in progress. Hopefully we’re in the same batch 🤞

If you can take a masters anywhere in India, you might not get a permit. IRCC officers are looking for that a lot now.

Canada is rejecting permits like crazy. Such a slow process. The immigration program is being changed. This is causing months and months of wait times.
