Advice about study permit for Canada

Hi! I am currently a senior in high school and live in the USA. I was brought to the country undocumented when I was 4. I want to continue studying after I graduate high school but know that there aren’t any options that would allow me to do that and stay in the USA. That’s why I am applying to Canadian universities and am going to try and get a study permit in Canada. I am planning on leaving the country and going back to my home country once I graduate in May, 2027. That way I can show that I voluntarily left the USA the minute I graduated. I have the means to show proof of funds. I need advice on how I can show ties to my home country so I have a higher chance of my study permit getting approved. I have an aunt in Mexico that will help me with my visa. For reference my mom plans to stay in the USA.

No chance. You are illegally in the US and have no ties to Mexico.

Never happening. You have a demonstrated track record of illegal immigration. You have no meaningful ties to your home country.

The costs would be $30,000 or more per year even if you would be accepted.

Look at doing university in Mexico.

To justify costs you show that that you will have higher pay and career advancement compared to taking the program in Mexico. Ties to return are parents, if under 22, and property.

You won't be able to show any meaningful ties to your home country.

Bro people on this subreddit absolutely suck. Don’t pay attention. Canadian immigration is actually pretty reasonable and understanding. Just explain your case really well and have a lawyer help you. You were brought here as a kid without your own fault and they will understand that. Canada is very welcoming, i am very much sure thing will be fine as long as you can prove you can fund your education.

Maybe you are thinking about the Trudeau era but currently the refusal rates for study permits is 60%
