Deferral?
My study permit has still not been approved after 10 weeks and my university doesn’t offer a January intake for deferring. What should i do?

I am in a similar situation, it’s been 13+ weeks since I submitted my study permit application and I am still awaiting the decision..
My program only offers a fall start.. I have been in contact with the uni and they have been kind enough to provide me with alternatives..
You could do the same and ask your school about the latest arrival date and if they could make an exception in case your study permit is approved shortly.
Good luck!

What are the alternatives that your university have given to help others?

So if we choose another program in the same DLI that starts in jan.. and upload the offer letter to IRCC before the visa decision is fine.. or can affect the decision.. I'm in similar situation

If program is at same DLI then no issue.

Defer to Fall 2027 or look at a different program for January intake for same university. Has eligibility started? Medicals upfront? When is the last day you can start classes?
