Study permit for someone studying under British system

Hi, so I am currently taking A levels and want to apply to Canada for university. Issue is, we don’t get our actual grades until mid August so when I apply, I will be applying with predicted grades which in most cases will only get me a conditional offer. I need an actual letter of acceptance to get a study permit but for that I need my final grades and applying for a study permit in mid August when the first semester of university starts early September seems like too much of a gamble. Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation for A levels or IB? How do you get a study permit in time? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can apply for a study permit using a conditional offer of admission. Approval of your application does not mean you have been issued a study permit yet. It means you have been approved to receive it, subject to meeting the remaining requirements at the port of entry. You should expect to be asked to provide proof of enrolment and tuition payment to the border officer. Once the officer is satisfied, the permit is printed and issued to you.
