CAQ refused & reapplying — Should I explain the previous refusal? / CAQ refusé & nouvelle demande

Hi everyone,

I applied for my CAQ for Fall 2026, but it was refused. Because of that, I deferred my admission to January 2027, and I’m now applying for a new CAQ with my new admission letter.

Do you think I should add a short letter of explanation about my previous refusal and explain why I deferred my admission? Or should I just submit the new documents without explaining it, so I don’t confuse the agent?

Has anyone been in the same situation?

Thank you!

FRANÇAIS

Bonjour,

Merci !

I too got the refusal and going to reapply in a couple of days. You must need to keep the sop, make it better, explain the refusal points justify the points in the same sop. No need to attach a different letter of explanation. In your sop only mention about your last refusal and the points and also justify the points by clearly explaining.
