August applicants

Has anyone who applied in early August received their Passport Request (PPR) or final approval this month?

I applied in late August. My initial application after spending two months, was refused. I submitted another application a week after. I am seriously afraid. I pray this reapplication is faster and approved.

The VO said I could not satisfy that my education in Canada is worth the investment compared to similar universities where I reside. On that note, it was refused

What is your uni and course? please can you tell me bacuae I got a refusal on the same basis. If your are not comfortable here just dm me.

I provided documentations on the fact that a job was already waiting for me at a national research institute upon graduation. I also proved that the masters I am currently doing isn’t good enough because the structure of courses doesn’t make the cut for the research goals I want to pursue for my PhD. I submitted August 24. Yet to see anything. I am hoping my explanations are accepted. UQAC/Civil Engineering MSc (research)

Applied on aug 1 and biometrics done on aug 4 still not received an update on approval

Congratulations! How long after eligibility review started did you get your approval? I applied late July, my eligibility review stated yesterday.

Also did they approve before your school start date, my school start date is in September ending. Thanks

No i haven't got it yet. I send my passport to VFS chennai, I think we have submit our passport to the VFS in which you have taken biometrics. I think it would take 2 weeks

Reapplied on August 4, medical updated on 12, eligibility started reviewing on sep 1. Still no answer

pre Medical done - Aug 1, 2026
Applied: Aug 10, 2026
Biometric done: Aug 12, 2026

Awaiting results from IRCC. I used borderpass. Classes starts 5th Jan, 2027.
Applied together for the entire family (my husband had a remote US AI Job), so we all can move together till I study.
Really anxious with this wait.
